I really shouldn't feel like I can only post if I have reams of substantive stuff to say about TV or whatever, right? Like, I could just hit send right now and that would be okay, right? Sigh.

I need to respond to comments (I've been loving them, truly) and need to do the rest of my DC report and do a TV catch-up post, etc., etc., but just didn't have time tonight. So I just wanted to say:

Stephen Collins is blogging on The Huffington Post. Yes, Tales of the Gold Monkey/Mr. Faye Grant/Seventh Heaven Stephen Collins. What is so great about this is that unlike pretty much every other celebrity blogger on there, Stephen is in the trenches actually responding to comments and participating in a silly thread coming up with names for an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical about George W. Bush. I kind of love him a lot right now. And once again it begs the question: why is Bradley not doing this? COME ON.

And speaking of celebrities I love, Jamie Bamber did an interview with someone on the Dragon Con staff, and, well:

DD: The writing for Battlestar Galactica is spectacular, in my opinion, as tight and engaging as television series like Aaron Sorkin's The West Wing, and Joss Whedon's Buffy, Angel and Firefly. Do you think you've been a bit spoiled by the brilliance -- that perhaps you might find it harder to work with similar quality material in another endeavor in your future?

JB: Definitely. I've been spoiled; there's no doubt about that. I see it already. I pick up scripts all the time. I've [been] a guest star on TV shows, and nothing comes close to the experience I've had on Galactica. Short of working with Aaron Sorkin, I don't really expect to have any of them top it. I'm a big fan of Aaron Sorkin, and if I get to work with him, I can probably [stop].

HE'S KILLING ME. I'm all swoony Scarlett O'Hara in a corset right now, swear to god.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] nnaylime posted a couple of awesome BSG Adama/Roslin crackvids here. Check out "An Ordinary Man," it is genius.

Oh, hell, let me get some quick TV in:

Rescue Me was awesome tonight. Sean's beer goggles, Lou's temptations, the family AA meeting, etc. Someone needs to explain to me what Tommy is up to, though.

The Hills -- Someone needs to explain to Audrina that when a guy you've been with off and on for two years tells you he doesn't want to call you his girlfriend because he wants to take things slow, it means he wants to be able to sleep with other people. Also, Jen Bunny totally had some work done. Also, Spencer continues to be the douchiest douchebag that ever douched. And you know that he and Brody started those rumors together, so I don't know what Brody is up to. Probably just whatever will extend his screen time, I'm thinking.

Rock of Love -- "Could there BE any more sluts in this house?" No, Jes, the question is, could I love you ANY more than I already do? I believe the answer is no, no I could not. Please get off this show and get a life because you are way too cool for this insanity. Also, if I ever go gay, you are the first girl I'm going to call. Spoilers for the elim. )

General Hospital: I am loving the Georgie/Spinelli, even though it's crazy to think a girl as hot as Georgie would go for Spinelli. That's okay. It's cute. Also, I kind of have a girlcrush on Kate as well. Maybe it's her hair. I'm kind of bisexual tonight, apparently.

OK, I need to go to bed now. The nightmare from work lingers on in an embarrassing way, but something possibly cool happened today as well, so that helped. There may be more to come on that front. Fingers crossed. And I have a 10 AM meeting so like I said, must get off to bed. Will catch up more tomorrow.
Or just, you know, leave. Tim Gunn's Guide to Style. )

For Hills fans, apparently Justin Bobby was at Fashion Week. HA.

For GH fans -- how awesome was Georgie today? Man, I love her a lot.

[livejournal.com profile] nnaylime has started [livejournal.com profile] sftpotiofta, the Society for the Preservation of the Integrity of the Apostrophe. Hee. Go join, grammar nuts!

So you know how yesterday I was complaining that Bradley isn't blogging at The Huffington Post? Well, guess who is. Yep, that's right, ALAN ALDA. The universe hates me.

Virgin Galactic is building a spaceport. Awesome.

I read the NYT's food critic's blog via RSS on LJ, and he spoiled me for last night's Top Chef, dammit. I watched it tonight anyway. I'm ready for this season to be over, I think. Not sure I'll watch again next season. We'll see.

Finally, I have to share a shocking, appalling, eye-opening article that every American should read, and it's by my intellectual boyfriend Matt Tiabbi: The Great Iraq Swindle. It's all about how contractors in Iraq are fleecing the American people of billions of dollars in taxpayer money to...not build buildings, or build buildings so poorly made they have urine dripping from the light fixtures, or to blow up a truck because they didn't have the right wrench to change the tire, etc., and when called on it, they all refuse to return any of the money. They have contracts which state that, wait for it, the more they spend, the more profit they make. Think about that math for a moment, would you? Seriously, I thought I'd heard everything, and I could not get OVER this article. It's maddening and sickening and needs to be read.
