If SNL had a sketch called "Crazy Jews" or "Crazy Muslims," I wouldn't think that offended people in those religions should rethink their lives, so.
I'm not offended by S60 at all, nor do I want it to be less ballsy. But what I'm saying is, the show isn't really engaging in a meaningful debate about these issues yet so much as it is taking shots and then moving along, and I worry that it might lose some viewers for that reason. Harriet Hayes is supposed to be this show's Ainsley Hayes, but so far, she's all symbol and no substance, imo. I'd rather hear her say something to intelligently support an opposing view than to see her randomly leading a prayer circle. Of course, I hope I'm wrong and that the show loses no viewers, because I want it to succeed. But viewers for new shows can be so fickle, and it takes so little to make them change the channel, so that's what worries me.
