It definitely does, and it's something I do think people (celebs or not) should try to discuss with a bit more... dignity, maybe is the word I would use? Thoughtfulness? And I'd love to know the greater context of the conversation, it's not clear how this was all really brought up in the first place. But the way the press is grabbing onto the original language (from a tabloid, no less) and eviscerating her frankly disturbs me more than her original comments did, which made me roll my eyes but weren't really Anti-American or pointedly disrespectful, more like incidentally tacky. (Which isn't exactly rare when it comes to random pontificating from European actors, to be honest.)
