heads-up for idol fans
Tonight's Larry King Live on CNN is being hosted by Ryan Seacrest, and he's going to be interviewing Taylor and Katharine.
And that's pretty much all I got. Slow day. Making "Transition" icons, and, um, it's going to take me a while, because I want to icon like every frame. Gah.
Oh! How could I forget to mention My Fair Brady? I loved every minute. Oh, the look of terror in Chris' eyes. Poor boy. And Adrianne continues to be of the awesome. Love her. So excited for this season!
And I watched the Cybermen two-parter of Doctor Who. Okay, I admit to being SO HAPPY that Mickey is gone. I liked him in small doses, but as a regular? No. I had a feeling they were leading up to that what with him finding a place for himself and all, and was glad that it did indeed play out that way. Good for him. And good for me, too. Two's company, three's a crowd, unless the third is Captain Jack! Is there another one after that that I'm missing?

Generally speaking, I thought "Rise of the Cyberman/Age of Steel" was really very good. I find myself on the fence about Mickey's departure, because for me he played the Everyman Can Be Courageous role that sometimes gets lost in the mix. At the same time, his choice made sense . . . up to a point. I didn't, after all, hear the Doctor telling him that the woman he called his Gram wasn't in fact his Gram at all, but the Doctor couldn't stop telling Rose that about her father. Perhaps he was doing it more on Our!Jackie's behalf. Hm.
I loved that Alt!Jackie had a dog named Rose! And I loved it, too, that the Doctor took Rose back to Our!Jackie when it was all over. Rose clearly needed her mum. Most interesting of all, I thought, was the look on the Doctor's face as Rose and Our!Jackie hugged at the end of the episode. He's one seriously lonely dude, he knows it, and he knows there's no way out.
