x-files

From SCI FI.com:

Spotnitz, speaking alongside Carter, allowed that the sequel will be "a stand-alone, scary movie. Scary, exciting movie. But it's also very much about these characters, very personal. A romantic, I think, emotional story."

and

"The truth is, after all that time, Mulder and Scully were different people, and we were different people, so the 'X-File' we came up with five years ago is still the X-File in the movie, but their personal lives--the state of their relationship, all those things--have changed over time, and that was kind of interesting," Spotnitz said.

My new theory? Mulder and Scully are totally broken up/estranged when the movie opens.

Full article here, you have to scroll down a bit.

I had to LOL at this CC comment: "'I actually was moved,' Carter said between yawns". Poor Chris, that mushy stuff is so bor-ing!

Yep, I can see that. But *whimper*.

I think is the most likely scenario since CC is completely incapable of writing a mature happy relationship.

March 26th at the Paley he has to face me.

He should be afraid.

Well, they darn well better be back together and sucking face by twenty minutes into the movie or I know four women in Memphis who'll find themselves on a little thing I like to call a rampage. *g*

I'm with you. I know they need to act in character and all, but I want some hot Mulder/Scully action, dag nabbit! We sat through a lot of crap and need more than just the little bits we saw in the finale.

*grump*

I'm not sure I could cope with the trauma!

Oh god, I would weep if that were true.

Not cool. Highly probable I agree, but so very not cool. And so totally something CC would do. Bastard.

Either that or separated but not by choice. (Which would sort of be broken up/estranged, but different from a true "breakup.")

It's a popular theory.... :(

Dear Chris, you are going to ruin this even more, aren't ya?

In that case, I'm voting for a scenario involving fabulous make-up sex...
