yeah, i got nothin'

Did anyone watch Paradise Hotel 2 tonight? Something awesome happened.

Nothing awesome happened on The Hills however. Yawn. Where is Stephen??? /whine

And apparently Heidi really does have a clothing line?? Ewww.

Important announcement! The intrepid [livejournal.com profile] alikander informs me that FelonSpy is a hoax! So that's a relief. Geez, the one time I don't check Snopes for something my mother sends me....figures.

Here's the most depressing article I've read in a while: Costs skyrocketing on some prescription drugs. UGH.

Did I link to this writeup about an Illinois state representative going batshit insane on an atheist? Someone needs to read her Constitution. It's still okay to hate atheists, clearly....

I was very distressed to read that Disney's planned release of Rapunzel is going to be in 3D. WTF? I thought that was going to be traditional animation, dammit. And now it will come out and look like creepy crap and no one will see it and Disney will say "no one cares about fairy tales" when really it's that no one cares about creepy 3D crap. DAMMIT. (ETA: OK, it's more Pixar than Polar Express? That's better, but I'm still unhappy. I miss REAL animation. And if this movie is a hit it will be used as "proof" that traditional animation is dead. Bah.) The Princess and the Frog had better be awesome, since it's apparently our last great hope.

In the end, I console myself with Cat vs. theremin, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] bentleywg. (YouTube link.)

Rapunzel's been announced as 3d for a hella long time. The animators at Pixar were giving Keane special lessons long before the merge. Sorry, Dia.

(I think it looks pretty good, actually.)

Spoiler images? Why yes, yes I will. (http://theartofglenkeane.blogspot.com/2006/07/rapunzel.html)

LOL at the Cat vs. theremin! That just tickled my funnybone!

Hobbes (icon!cat) was dozing on my lap when I clicked on the cat vs. theremin link, but she popped her head up and looooked at it. Apparently theremins are inherently fascinating to cats.

I am really really excited about The Princess and the Frog as well. I love the fact that it takes place in New Orleans.

I was hoping that Rapunzel would be more along the lines of Beauty and the Beast. A few digital effects but mainly good old animation.

And I read an issue of Shape magazine the other day that spoke about Heidi's fashion line - I thought of you. LOL

Does this mean the felons in my neighborhood aren't old?

Does it really count as a clothing line if it's just slutty clothes? I mean if I I put together a bunch of clothes that I wear and called them a clothing line for waiters or something would that really count as a clothing line?

Stayed up late last night to watch my recording of Paradise Hotel 2... am WAY too addicted to that show. Yes, the twist was AWESOME! I just hope that he sides with Mike and co, because I really do like them. And I loved Mike and Tayna, I wish I could go kick Myrna off myself….

In the end, I console myself with Cat vs. theremin...

That was great.

When the turkeys get you down...the cats (and sometimes the dogs (http://mfrost.typepad.com/cute_overload/2008/04/i-swear-i-am-no.html)) will always make us feel better.

Rapunzel is going to be in 3D

Now I'm afraid her hair is gonna come out from the screen and attack me!

Yeah, I heard that too...I then I heard they changed their minds. Though reading your entry, I think I may just have been getting confused with The Princess and the Frog.

3D animation can be nice, but to me nothing will ever replace traditional animation. It just looks prettier. Or maybe it's because it's what I grew up with. Still, it hurts me inside to see cartoons becoming more and more CGI these days.
