i'd probably live to regret it, but....

[livejournal.com profile] nnaylime and I were reminiscing the other day about how much fun we used to have at [livejournal.com profile] tww100 back in the day, which is where we "met," and where we met other great folks like [livejournal.com profile] skywaterblue, [livejournal.com profile] anitchka, [livejournal.com profile] christinekh, etc. I used to have so much fun writing the 100-word pieces that would allow me to explore the characters and flex my writing muscles without making a huge, intimidating commitment to a long piece of fic. And I'd love to try doing something like that for BSG, especially since I have even less time to write than I used to. There is a comm called [livejournal.com profile] bsg100 but it hasn't been updated in years. If I were to start a comm called [livejournal.com profile] bsg_100 (original I know), would anyone be interested in participating? There would be weekly or bi-weekly prompts and all pairings and genres would be welcomed.

Of course, I realize I'm not going to reach the largest audience from my little ol' LJ, but I wanted to get a sense among my friends first, before reaching out to one of the big comms for interest level, since if none of my friends would be there, there wouldn't be much point. :)

Maybe I should just make it a poll. Click yes if you'd be interested:

[Poll #1318512]

ETA: I mean for both writing and reading -- so long as you'd be interested in participating on some level.

Can I say I would be interested but my ability to actually WRITE bsg characters is nil? So I would gleefully lurk and read (because my writing time is not impacted so much as my READING time and small snippets take less time) but I will not be posting?

That counts as interest! Any level of participation is what I'm looking for. :)

Wooohooo! Back to lurkerdom. Somehow, that seems FUN to me. heee

(I really miss tww100. I should perhaps starting doing REAL 100 drabbles at some point again. ;))

ZOMG YES (and not just because I adore that hysterically brilliant icon!)

I used to participate in a Buffy 100 comm all the time. I would be really into this!

I'm going through tagging lj entries (.thought it was a good idea when I started, only up to 2004), and there's quite a few drabbles I wrote for tww100. I was quite the drabbler...

I voted yes, but I feel I must qualify that. I haven't written any fic in months and I miss it and as much as I normally am ... um... particularly verbose, I think something like this might help get me back.

Also, I still owe a BSG-related bubblefic because I AM MADE OF BROKEN PROMISES AND DISAPPOINTMENT. Or something. :)

I'm actually feeling along just the same lines, so I totally get it, believe me.
