why am i so tired on a sunday night
What a day. Unpacked, did a load of laundry, did some work, downloaded my Belize pictures, watched some DVRed TV, and even ran out for Starbucks. LOL. That is a very full Sunday for me! Still feel like there's so much I need to do, or want to do, to be more specific -- for example, I haven't touched Guitar Hero since I've gotten home, oh the TRAGEDY -- but hopefully I'm getting there. I will do a Belize post at some point, I promise. Definitely have amusing stories to tell and pretty pictures to share.
Unfortunately this week is going to be busy and next weekend is shot because I'll be at New York Comic Con the whole time. But apparently Tahmoh is going to be at the Dollhouse panel so I'm going to go to that and I may go to a party where Aaron Douglas is supposedly going to be Thursday night and
intopolitics is coming up for the Torchwood panel, so those are all good things. Very sad it looks like there won't be a BSG panel, though. And EVERYONE from Fringe EXCEPT Josh is going to be there. Dammit. I might go anyway. Even Charlie is going to be there, and I love Charlie, so hey.
Last night
divanoir and I went to see Aisha Tyler do standup. I've never seen her standup before but I'm a big fan of her book Swerve (and, of course, her work on Talk Soup) so it was worth the discounted tickets I was able to get. She was extremely funny and adorable and at times downright filthy, which, gee, the media always tells me that Sarah Silverman is the ONLY woman on the whole goshdarn planet who EVER has a potty mouth and that's what makes her so darn SPECIAL! *innocent look* Ahem. Anyway, she was super fun to see and we had a good time. Then afterward she was signing autographs and taking pictures and such, so of course I had to get a pic.

It's a terrible picture of me, so the box is an improvement. Diva's picture came out much better:

I believe they were saying "Black President!" instead of Cheese, LOL.
Oh, while I'm sharing pictures, I took this pretty photo of the view outside my new office window -- the sky was a very cool color at dusk.

I love my town, even if it is nice to get away from it once in a while. ;)
Also wanted to mention I am loving Kelly Clarkson's new single and am so excited her new album will be out in March, and that it's pop instead of country. YAY. And that probably means she'll be touring soon, wooooo. Hope I can go again.
And before I leave I have to do just a bit more flailing about that one particular Lee/Kara scene in "The Oath."
The whole first scene with Lee and Kara alone kills me, and not just for the kiss. But the thing I really love about the kiss is that Kara does it right after Lee says "I don't think we can do it alone." She gives him this LOOK like The hell we can't! and that's when she kisses him, as if to remind him of how awesome they are. LOL.

And that when they are a team they are virtually unstoppable, and as long as they have that, as long as they have each other, they don't NEED anything else. And after she kisses him he looks at her with confusion, but then amusement at how PUMPED she is (and giddiness that she kissed him, no doubt, just as part of her excitement is giddiness that he didn't just die), but there's a cockiness to his grin, an OH YEAH I'm fucking Apollo, bitch, and that's when he grabs the gun and has a new confidence and strength and they head out together on their mission.

When he says "Cover me" and she nods, and he goes out the hatch, that's the part that kills me the most. DO NOT FUCK WITH THE BUDDYCOPS, OKAY? Okay.
I just...had to get that second wave of flailing out. GUH. I need to make myself some fucking icons already. What time is it? Maybe I can make one or two before bed.
(And if you think I have anything at all to say about that football event that was on tonight, clearly you don't know me. Heh.)

That scene totally boosted my pilot love. It wasn't romantic in the traditional sense, but it was totally them and so good.
