in brief:

I am worried for my girl Allison tonight, even though she was awesome. I hope that America agrees with me that Matt should go, seeing as how the other time they agreed with me, the judges saved him. ;) Wibble. (Also, Jamie Foxx cracked me the hell up. Everyone was apparently transcendentally amazing and well on their way to ruling the world.)

I disagreed with Simon more than usual tonight. Felt like he was having Opposite Day or something.

Fringe was solid tonight, with a great guest star performance. And Peter being hot. And Astrid being smart.

So how about that Arlen Specter, eh? It probably won't change much on a practical level, and it was done for purely political survival reasons (which may not save him if the Dems manage to field a good primary candidate), but it's certainly made for an interesting day. *g* Now if they'd just seat Franken already...

A must-see link for BSG & Lee fans: Jamie Bamber on the finale. While I still think the ending was a piece of shit, he actually did make me feel a bit better about Lee, and for that I am grateful. The clip is worth it for his poetic insight, and hearing him speak French. ;) Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] canadiangirl_86 for the heads-up.

And a must-see link for everyone: Kids' choir singing Eye of the Tiger. Awesome. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] jesshelga for the link.

It hit almost 90 today, and is going to have a high of 57 tomorrow. This is how I get sick, people. Not cool. Not to mention the inevitable headache....bah.

I am glad for the link, because I was waiting to find out, someday, what he *really* thought of the finale. But as sweet as his opinion is, I still kind of wish he had just said, 'Yeah, it sucked.' (Le show, c'est suck).

Yeah, me too. Maybe in a few years when he no longer feels like he owes RDM anything. ;)

The Jamie interview helped until I watched the 2nd part where they ask him about the pigeon. And he talked about how the bird was like Lee's thoughts rattling around in his brain (okay?). Then he said it was great how they showed the bird in the first part but don't explain it for a while, but it's okay because on a TV show "everything is explained eventually." Not everything is explained, Jamie! Not on this show!!!

Also, remember this is the guy who had nice things to say about Pulse 2, about how the film is about a father protecting his daughter and that's something that really resonated with him in the script since he's a father himself. Whatever Jamie, that "script" didn't resonate with anyone and there's no way you found great meaning in doing this film.

Oh well, at least this icon makes me happy.

Oh lord I didn't watch that part. He does seem to go out of his way to find beautifully worded, symbolic excuses for stuff that for a lot of us reads as crap. *g*

Ah well, I shall just unapologetically cherry pick what I like and ignore the rest. *G*

I love the PS 22 chorus - check out their rendition of DraGoN (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZl91ZuJXK4) - gives me chills. :-)

Jamie Bamber's French is pretty good!

He lived in France as a child and studied it in college, so he's almost but not quite fluent, I believe. :)

Makes sense--his accent sounded good to me. (My French is pretty basic, despite 2 yrs in college.)
