all the news fit to ignore
Jul. 15th, 2006 11:50 pmI had the day off on Friday, during which time I discovered that there is now a FOURTH lifeline on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, where you can switch out of a question you don't like and take a new one. WTF??? I seriously need to get on that show.
Saw Pirates 2 Friday night, and enjoyed it. It was far from perfect -- entirely too long, too self-conscious, too cartoonish, etc., but I still enjoyed it quite a bit, which puts it ahead of the other summer blockbusters I've seen this year, so that's something. And yeah, what's up with Norrington suddenly being hot?
I also got my hair cut yesterday, and leaving the salon was this actress who I recognized but I don't know her name. She's probably on one of the many crime shows I don't watch. Light to medium-skinned black woman with loose curls that are kind of frosted bronze? Yeah, that doesn't help much, does it.
I ALSO (yesterday was a busy day!) bought this Al Gore t-shirt by Marc Jacobs. Go to marcjacobs.com and look under "Special Items." I got the "Save Us, Al!" shirt. Heeeee.
intopolitics reports that the new season of Flavor of Love starts August 6 and I AM SO EXCITED.
kopernik linked to an awesomely dishy interview with Tim Gunn. Seriously, it is a MUST READ. Apparently dear Daniel has become quite the diva since the season ended.
Speaking of PR, because I am a freak I've assembled a bunch of links to Barbies that Robert Best designed.
High Tea and Savories
Tweed Indeed
45th Anniversary
Delphine Barbie This has always been one of my favorites -- so cool it's him.
Happy Go Lightly
The following dolls are supposed to "celebrate the working woman." Ummm....
The Waitress
The Teacher
The Stewardess
The Nurse
The French Maid
Awesome Doctor Who vid. It may have made me a little misty-eyed.
I watched episode 2x14, "Black Market" of BSG and all I have to say is: Huh??
Article on next season for the Law & Order shows.
Anthony Bourdain is stranded in Beirut because of the bombing, but no worries, he reported in to Page Six: The mojitos here are great. Then again, I feel like that's about all I can process, myself, about the insanity going on over there, so.
