No West Wing picspam today as I am still in San Diego. I'll probably post it Tuesday night. Sorry! But the next episode is "In Excelsis Deo," so isn't that worth the wait? :)
In the two hours that I have been home from San Diego, I have: discovered my letter was not published in EW (and instead an entire column of the page was devoted to Jessica Alba. Um, really?); spilled milk on myself while having a bowl of cereal; found out TiVo deleted Thursday's GH when it shouldn't have; found out My Fair Brady ran long and my TiVo cut it off (I'm taping the repeat now); and, okay, that's it. But that was enough to make me wonder if I should have stayed in California another night.

By the way, you know you are on a flight home from Comic Con when the guy sitting diagonally across from you is watching, on his mini DVD player, with a complete lack of irony, a DVD of The Karate Kid.

I wound up in the middle seat between an elderly man and an elderly woman. Right before takeoff, the gentleman (for he was indeed a gentleman) leaned in and told me the woman was his wife. They were hoping they'd have an empty middle seat, but the flight was full. I immediately offered to switch seats but they said no, that was okay, as if they were doing me a favor by leaving me in the middle. Yeah, it was weird. Finally about an hour or so into the flight he asked to switch seats, yay. But then he started chatting me up. I didn't mind too much as he was a Scot and had a great accent. *g* Turns out he used to live in Brooklyn -- about a block away from where I live now. I love this frickin' town, I really do. So he's this charming Scottish guy who used to live in a solid Jewish neighborhood in Brooklyn and has been married to a South Korean woman for over 50 years. LOVE. He told me about how he and his co-workers used to go to the Chock Full o' Nuts ostensibly to get coffee but really to "see pretty girls like you," and it wasn't in the least bit lecherous when he said it, it was just completely charming, and damn am I a sucker for that accent. Hee.

Anyway, I'm back, I'm tired, and I have to go to work tomorrow. Bah. And I seem to have missed [livejournal.com profile] intopolitics's birthday while I was gone, so I shall have to make it up to her somehow.

More tomorrow.
