operation say no more is in process
Aug. 27th, 2006 11:58 pmSubject line courtesy of Flavor Flav. Oh, Flav. How I love you and your skanky show. ( Couple thoughts on tonight's show. )
Can Conan O'Brien host the Emmys every year? He was hilarious. The whole Bob Newhart thing? I was peeing. Colbert & Stewart were similarly hilarious. And Bradley. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. He's just so happy to be there, you know? ( Just a few quick thoughts, since I didn't care all that much this year. )
From a pre-show interview:
Hollywood Reporter: Do you worry that viewers might be less inclined to tune in because some of the more popular shows and stars got passed over?
Conan O'Brien: I figure it's more likely to kill us internationally. In Beirut, I can see people sitting around agonizing over Lost getting jobbed and wailing, "How can they do this to Edie Falco?"
Heh. You tell 'em, Conan. I especially loved all the pre-show red carpet jabber about ZOMG TOM CRUISE AND PARAMOUNT when we're in the middle of the anniversary of Katrina. Yay for priorities!
Sometimes I wonder if I should change careers. Anyway.
Today was a very special day.
oeilade and I went to see Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles, which was playing as part of the New York Korean Film Festival. It was wonderful, in a cheese-tastic way, of course. ( Little bit about it for the two or three of you who care. ) Afterward the director did a Q&A and they were giving out Sentinels animation cels to people who asked questions, so whoot did my hand shoot up. I was the first question, ha ha ha. Got a cel of Exedore and so I am a happy fangirl. Later in the lobby
oeilade helped skewer the director about why were the women's boobs hanging out, so that was fairly priceless. He danced around the answer, but what else could he do? If anyone has questions please comment and I will happily squee and geeble at you some more.
No picspam tonight. I'm not really feeling it and if I'm not feeling it, it won't be funny. Hopefully tomorrow night.
