must...go..to sleep...
Oct. 19th, 2006 12:53 amI had this crazy dream this morning, during my snooze time. (I hit snooze for about an hour every morning. I have morning issues.) I was in a deli buying an egg salad sandwich for lunch. But the sandwich was in two pieces and I decided I only wanted half. The lady says, "Okay, that's $8.50." "What?" I say, handing over a ten dollar bill. I then proceed to yell at her about half an egg salad sandwich costing $8.50, and demand to speak to the manager. The manager comes out and I am SCREAMING at him about the cost of the sandwich, and how it's outrageous, and nobody else charges that much, etc. And he's totally just looking at me with this smirk, saying too bad, that's how much it costs. So I turn to the cashier and say, I want my money back, I don't want the sandwich, and she says, You only gave me two dollars, and I'm like, WHAT, I gave you a ten, and then we get in this huge, again, SCREAMING match about how much money I gave her, and it all ends with me not getting anything I want and feeling impotent with contained rage.
And all this in the 9 minutes of snooze time. Gee, DO YOU THINK I HAVE REPRESSED ANGER OR SOMETHING? It's so subtle, I can't quite grasp it.
ANTM tonight was such bullshit I can't even stand it. Can't wait to see the fan outcry on that one.
( Lost )
Got home late tonight due to a work function so I'm going to have to catch The Nine on abc.com this weekend or something. Because obviously I had to watch the Project Runway finale! ( Brief thoughts. )

marakara, French rap video that uses Prison Break footage. So cool.
Keith Olbermann hits it out of the park again. "In times of fright, we have been, only human. We have let Roosevelt's 'fear of fear itself' overtake us. We have listened to the little voice inside that has said 'the wolf is at the door; this will be temporary; this will be precise; this too shall pass.' We have accepted that the only way to stop the terrorists, is to let the government become just a little bit like the terrorists. Just the way we once accepted that the only way to stop the Soviets, was to let the government become just a little bit like the Soviets. Or substitute...the Japanese. Or the Germans. Or the Socialists. Or the Anarchists. Or the Immigrants. Or the British. Or the Aliens. The most vital, the most urgent, the most inescapable of reasons. And, always, always wrong."
Sigh. Um, let's go Mets!
I am using this icon because Sarah Wayne Callies is pretty and once Studio 60 is canceled I think I'm going to transfer all my fannish concentration to Prison Break, because it is a hit show and shippiness is on the horizon and it has pretty people. Woot. (Which doesn't mean I don't still love Lost with all my heart, but it looks like I will not have shippy happiness on that show, so, whatever.)
