May. 22nd, 2007 11:45 pmAs I was walking home from the subway today, the woman walking ahead of me ran into some people in the neighborhood she apparently knew. She stopped to greet them, and, okay, I have some hearing loss right now because I am so damn stuffed up, but I could swear she greeted the little boy with, "Hi, Messiah!" Is that possible? Is it possible someone named their child MESSIAH? That's pretty ballsy, I must say. Among other things.
On to American Idol. ( I didn't vote. )
Half-watched most of On the Lot and I think I will keep watching just for Carrie Fisher goodness. She looked good, too, which is encouraging. Oh, Carrie. The rest of it is okay, whatever. I have problems with Brett Ratner being treated as someone we should give a shit about. Most of the contestants are probably better filmmakers than he is. Whatevs.

All New York City taxis will be hybrids in a few years. So frickin' cool. Thank you, Mayor Mike. It's not only going to cut down pollution by quite a bit, it's going to save the cab drivers a lot of money, too.
