Jun. 20th, 2007 11:19 pmOh, Sean. ( Rescue Me. )
Had dinner with a friend/colleague, who decided that my memoirs should be called, "Freaks I Have Known and Tolerated," which strikes me as quite apt. Also, I've been loving the weather we're having and wish I was less stressed so that I could enjoy it more. I'm going to be at offsite meetings for half the day tomorrow, which is not helping the matter.
The guy sitting next to me on the subway on the way home asked me what magazine I was reading. It was Entertainment Weekly. He seemed fascinated by it. It was completely foreign to him, apparently. I do realize that seeing a magazine about entertainment that actually has long articles and small print is an alien concept these days, which is one reason I keep reading the damn thing. That was the second day in a row someone on the subway commented on what I was reading, not sure what's up with that.
General Hospital tried to tell me yesterday that "caveat" is a big word, which makes me weep for America. I have a rant saved up about sexism on that show, but no time to write it at the moment.
Trump finally came up with a reality show that I would probably watch. It sounds like Charm School for WASPs.
nnaylime decided that a post from
kiss_me_cassie should become a meme, and therefore, everyone should post a poem that they enjoy. mr. cummings provided mine. ( It makes me think of summer. )
Quote from a NYT article today. I am not making this up. "Some consumer advocates say that such staff cuts under the Bush administration have made the commission a lax regulator. The commission, for example, acknowledged in a recent budget document that 'because of resource limitations,' it was planning next year to curtail its efforts aimed at preventing children from drowning in swimming pools and bathtubs." Let those kids drown, dammit!
Shane West is apparently taking his fate on ER pretty hard.
OK, have to get up early tomorrow. Bah.
