Plans to go to Costco tonight fell through, so I got a manicure instead. Got just what I wanted: very short, round, with a deep purple/black color. I am the height of chic right now, albeit only on my fingernails. I feel very Kate Howard.

In case you haven't come across this yet, EW has a list of when your favorite shows will be returning. Unless your favorite show is a new show, because then you're out of luck. SO HAPPY they will be filming more Lost eps, YAY.

Speaking of new shows, NBC officially renewed Chuck and Life today. I know some f-listers who will be happy about that. (Which reminds me! Pssst, aj: you can find some Obi-Wan/Padme icons here.)

And Battlestar Galactica IS going to back to work and finishing the season. At least according to this guy.

The Second Avenue Deli has returned to New York -- on Third Avenue -- so NYT food critic Frank Bruni brought Ed Koch and Nora Ephron along with him to check it out. Cute article.

Also in today's NYT: great article about the unknown sex lives of Tyrannosauruses Rex. Just go read, so long as you can handle discussion of dinosaur penises.

Gary Coleman married a twentysomething. Dayum.

Rejected Star Wars Merchandise. Seriously, I would have bought about half of this stuff. Leia headphones? Come on! And there's a Clone Wars feature film coming, apparently.

Lake Mead is drying up. So if you live in Nevada or Arizona, you're probably not going to have any more water in about ten years. Just so you know. Holy crap.

I got a FF.net review today on a Robotech story that I posted there in 2003. That was pretty cool. I should really post my new story there, huh.
