Kind of been for away for a while. Been crappy and/or busy the past few days. Let's see, recap:
Wednesday was probably one of the worst days of my life. 'Nuff said.
Thursday I still felt crappy most of the day but managed to leave my house to go see Boeing Boeing again with
girlunravelled and the ex-boy. Wasn't quite as funny for me the second time around, but still very enjoyable, and Brad seemed more relaxed, which was cool. Did the stage door thing again and actually had the whole cast sign my Playbill, which I didn't do last time, but hey, Brad comes out last and not that many people were waiting so why the hell not. Then I got another picture with Brad, even though I once again managed to say almost nothing to him. I do not know what it is about him that I have trouble speaking to him. I'm not usually this way so much with celebrities. Though I have the feeling if I ever met Ewan McGregor it would be the same scenario. I'm really okay with that, though, it's not like he would remember me five minutes later anyway. Anyway, picture behind the cut! ( He looks good, at least. )
Friday I had dinner with
divanoir,
jendaby, and our friend A., and then saw the Sex and the City movie. I liked it a lot. Just very enjoyable to spend another two hours with those ladies. ( A few more thoughts. )
Yesterday I went apartment hunting and have been deep in the throes of existential angst ever since. I saw two that I liked, one of which I put a hold on until tomorrow when I have to decide, and have been dithering between the two all day. It could turn out to be a moot point anyway, I may get rejected for the first one and the second one might be taken by tomorrow evening, but that does not stop the non-stop OH MY GOD WHAT SHOULD I DO running through my head. The one I put a hold on is more expensive but has a dishwasher, and you know how I feel about that! Sigh. Well, I can't make a decision until I see the first one again tomorrow, as I have some reservations that need to be assuaged or confirmed, so we'll see what happens. Fingers crossed that I'm able to make the right decision and things work out however I decide I want them to, even if it means saying no to both of them.
I also finally watched BSG last night and will post about that in a bit.
And today is just hot. The end. I spent some time reading post-mortems on Hillary's campaign, and have actually been pretty depressed about the whole thing. She had kind of lost my support over the last few months due to things she said and did, but I still find it all kind of sad and wistful. That said, this page on Obama's site is one of the classiest things I've seen in a while, and I look forward to supporting the hell out of him over the next few months.
And this editorial by Bob Herbert made me cry a little.
I also watched the Doctor Who ep "The Doctor's Daughter" and was underwhelmed, possibly because of the whole he's dating her thing, which, ick. I liked all the Martha stuff though.
And voted in some of the GCCA categories formyself my friends good fic. I don't know why I tortured myself, but I did, so, yeah.
Bill Cosby is auctioning off some of his sweaters, hee!
I went to Amazon and was very excited to see this available for preorder. IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME, GEORGE.
Great snippet of a reader review I saw on Amazon, btw: While This Book Is well wrote... Well, there you go, eh?
Funny BSG-inspired song: I Wish the Chief Was My Boyfriend. It's no "David Duchovny," but still cute.
So I saw this clip of the new Daily Show correspondent Wyatt Cenac, and I think Wyatt may be my soulmate. Seriously, if you're a Lost fan, you HAVE to watch this clip. Hilarious. "Let's say I care if Hillary Clinton somehow got the support of enough superdelegates to win the nomination. Will that get Jack and Kate together?"
But it led me to finding out that Beauty and the Geek is cancelled, kind of. Woe.
OK, want to rewatch a bit of BSG and then make a quick post about it.
