So I totally watched I Survived a Japanese Game Show tonight, and I confess, I laughed my head off. Except they need less contestant confessionals and more CRAZY ASS JAPANESE GAME SHOW SHIT. Seriously, the game they had to play tonight made me laugh SO HARD. Also, Yellow Penguin vs. Green Monkey = AWESOME GENIUS. I have to keep watching this show, it's exactly what I need right now.

Also watched the Rescue Me minisode and I enjoyed it, but it mostly made me sad that we're not getting real episodes until 2009.

I also watched tonight's 30 Days, and kind of wish I hadn't, because it was so aggravating. A woman who is virulently anti-gay marriage & adoption went to live with a gay male couple raising four boys and...it didn't go well. I guess I kept watching in the hopes that she'd reach some kind of deeper understanding, but it never happened. And she kept saying how she thought the gay couple were good parents and loving and good people....but she didn't actually want them to be allowed to raise children. Even though they're good parents. And then my head exploded.

The final noms for the GCCAs are out and they show that people like my smut, but not anything else. LOL. I'm starting to get a complex about that, I swear. Is my non-smutty stuff really that bad? *g* Actually, the (non-smutty) stories I'm the proudest of are ones that got a great reception HERE, which is the important thing, as you are a discerning group or I would not be friends with you. ;) Anyway, final voting is this week, FYI, for anyone who hasn't been paying attention thus far but might want to do the last round.

Here's a headline that got my attention: "Huntsman Sues Apollo, Others For Damages." This led to some weird BSG fic ideas in my head, let me tell you.

I am not crazy about Jack Mackenroth's dress for Heather Tom at the Daytime Emmys. Love the color though. Jack Wagner got fugged also, and rightly so. (Speaking of which, did you hear about Heather Locklear? Eeep.)

Prominent climatologist says that we have one year before we reach the tipping point on global warming. We are so fucked.

17-year-old farm worker who died of heat stroke connected to Two Buck Chuck. Follow the links to let Trader Joe's know.

The major networks are covering Iraq for approximately two minutes per week. Great.

Jerry Seinfeld's NYT op-ed on George Carlin.

I like this new still from the XF movie. Welcome home, Scully! (And how did I not know Vince Gilligan co-wrote Hancock?)

Arrested Development movie coming out next year? I hope they're not just jerking us around.

Scholars were able to figure out the exact date Odysseus returned from the Trojan War. Um, that is awesome.

Finally tonight, I have to share this vid courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] chanel19. It is another Star Wars-themed vid, and is one of the greatest things ever. Make sure you watch till the 1:30 mark. TRUST ME.
