Crazy day today.

Jamie Bamber (eeeee). I have a whole rant about what happened to me at the signing, sigh. I did get to see him though and asked him if he was going to DragonCon and he said he might not be. WOE.

Jason Mewes there on the right.
There was also a visitation near our booth from Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, but I didn't see him, just the crowd around him. Couple of my co-workers got to talk to him though. Well, they talked to Robert Smigel, not Triumph, LOL.
Jamie was on the BSG panel! Which I only barely made it into (and actually missed a lot of the video that they showed, grrr). And I was all the way in the back so really just had to watch the big screens, sniffle. Tahmoh also showed up about halfway through. But to be honest James Callis stole the show with thoughtfulness, humor and hotness (season one Baltar hair, yo). Pictures and recap when I get back.
Chuck panel was fun. Zachary Levi is a big dork who seems only slightly resentful of the Cult of Adam Baldwin. They showed a whole bunch of clips from season two which looked fantastic -- apparently there will be a LOT of Chuck/Sara romance stuff next season, which is exciting.
Fringe panel was pretty whatever, except for MR. JOSHUA JACKSON. Guh. So hot, so adorable, and the (male) moderator was a Dawson's Creek fan, which was amusing. He asked JJ what he thought Pacey and Joey were up to now, and he was like, errrr, in a shack on the edge of Capeside with a bunch of kids? "It's not something I've given a lot of thought to, oddly enough." Heeeee. And we had REALLY good seats for that one, only about ten rows back, so it was awesome.
Unfortunately the Fringe signing conflicted with the BSG panel, so no personal interaction with Pacey. Oh well.
Finally a delightful dinner with Jim Butcher tonight and now I'm trying to digest my ice cream dessert before bed. Blurgh.
Me: How was your panel?
Jim: Okay. I mostly tried to keep my mouth shut.
Me: That must have been difficult for you.
Waitress: *eyes grow wide like saucers* I heard that!
Jim: You know you only say these things because you know you can get away with it.
Me: Yep.
Most random thing that happened today: walked out of the exhibit hall at the end of the day and who is standing there chatting with a friend but Sam Witwer, aka Crashdown from BSG! So I got a picture taken with him. He was really nice and hotter in person than he was on the show. I asked him what he was up to and he said he was going to be playing Doomsday on Smallville, so that's pretty cool ("I'm gonna try to kill Superman!"). He's also the human basis for the main character in the new Balance of the Force Star Wars game. Totally random cool encounter and I will post the picture when I get home.
