In other news, I am home from Dragon Con, obviously. Had an absolutely awesome time and I have tons of pics and notes to share, assuming you guys are interested. :) The main thing to know is that Michael Hogan is pretty much the greatest dude on the planet. The end.

But seriously, will try to get some stuff up tomorrow. I'm not going into work, am going to instead try to get some work done here at home while I rest. Although, now I have to decide if I'm going to get up (relatively) early and go try to see what's going on with the Fringe filming down the block. Will see when I wake up and how I feel when I do. *g*

So I managed to put some clothes on and drag my ass outside to walk past the Fringe filming. They're still setting up. But, there is one trailer and the names on the trailer are OLIVIA (aka Anna Torv) and.... PETER (aka JOSHUA JACKSON).

You guys, Josh Jackson is five blocks away from me.

So I'm going to go back in a couple of hours and see what I can see. Although I'm not optimistic -- we have these loooong side streets, which is what they film on. So they cut the street off at either avenue and film in the middle. Not sure I'll actually be able to see anything. But you never know!

In any case while I was out I got egg and cheese on a poppy bagel, which is breakfast of the gods, so it's not a total loss.

HI THERE GUESS WHAT WE JUST DID.





It was PERFECT timing -- we got there and hung out by his trailer, and they appeared to be breaking down (they must have shot very quickly), and first we saw Anna Torv's stand-in with a bad wig come back, but then, a few minutes later, THE MAN HIMSELF came across the street! ("Is that him?" "I think it's him." "Oh my god it's totally him.") He was all alone and so I called out his name and asked if we could get a picture. He said "Sure!", but then told us to wait while he threw out the used plastic cup in his hand, awwww. Then he came back and introduced himself ("Hi, I'm Josh." Um, NO KIDDING.) and shook our hands and asked our names and we told him we were excited about the show and he said he was too and girlunravelled said she was finally looking forward to the fall season and he said he was too (obvs) and then she mentioned that they were flying him all the way to NYC to film one scene? And he said he wasn't complaining, that he liked being there. And we took our pictures and that was that.

He was SO nice and courteous (he even asked girlunravelled "Do you want to get one too?" after I got my pic) and it probably helped that we were the only two people standing there stalking, heh. Crappy neighborhood FTW! For once. He is also very slim and standing pressed up against him was VERY nice. Ahem.

WE MET JOSHUA JACKSON TODAY YOU GUYS. OH MY GOD. Am I having a run or what?

dragon con: personal encounters

First let me preface by saying I had a wonderful, super fun time at Dragon Con (as you've no doubt gathered by now!). I had awesome roomates in the form of em_meredith, nnaylime and intopolitics and just had a blast with them. We also got to spend a lot of time with the super sweet and fun nicole_anell, who was also my flying buddy. We also got in some bar time with phdelicious, and not nearly enough time, but still quality time, with athena4lynn. Yay.
