why am i so tired on a sunday night
Feb. 1st, 2009 11:29 pmWhat a day. Unpacked, did a load of laundry, did some work, downloaded my Belize pictures, watched some DVRed TV, and even ran out for Starbucks. LOL. That is a very full Sunday for me! Still feel like there's so much I need to do, or want to do, to be more specific -- for example, I haven't touched Guitar Hero since I've gotten home, oh the TRAGEDY -- but hopefully I'm getting there. I will do a Belize post at some point, I promise. Definitely have amusing stories to tell and pretty pictures to share.
Unfortunately this week is going to be busy and next weekend is shot because I'll be at New York Comic Con the whole time. But apparently Tahmoh is going to be at the Dollhouse panel so I'm going to go to that and I may go to a party where Aaron Douglas is supposedly going to be Thursday night and
intopolitics is coming up for the Torchwood panel, so those are all good things. Very sad it looks like there won't be a BSG panel, though. And EVERYONE from Fringe EXCEPT Josh is going to be there. Dammit. I might go anyway. Even Charlie is going to be there, and I love Charlie, so hey.
Last night
divanoir and I went to see Aisha Tyler do standup. I've never seen her standup before but I'm a big fan of her book Swerve (and, of course, her work on Talk Soup) so it was worth the discounted tickets I was able to get. She was extremely funny and adorable and at times downright filthy, which, gee, the media always tells me that Sarah Silverman is the ONLY woman on the whole goshdarn planet who EVER has a potty mouth and that's what makes her so darn SPECIAL! *innocent look* Ahem. Anyway, she was super fun to see and we had a good time. Then afterward she was signing autographs and taking pictures and such, so of course I had to get a pic. ( Behind the cut. )
Oh, while I'm sharing pictures, I took this pretty photo of the view outside my new office window -- the sky was a very cool color at dusk. ( Back here if you want to see. )
Also wanted to mention I am loving Kelly Clarkson's new single and am so excited her new album will be out in March, and that it's pop instead of country. YAY. And that probably means she'll be touring soon, wooooo. Hope I can go again.
And before I leave I have to do just a bit more flailing about that one particular Lee/Kara scene in "The Oath." ( Please allow me my bit of self-indulgence. )
I just...had to get that second wave of flailing out. GUH. I need to make myself some fucking icons already. What time is it? Maybe I can make one or two before bed.
(And if you think I have anything at all to say about that football event that was on tonight, clearly you don't know me. Heh.)
