monday again already?

Hey all, long time no talk. Not too much going on. Went to my parents' for the weekend for my dad's birthday, where we watched The King of Kong and not surprisingly my mother and sister-in-law hated it, but my father and brother loved it. I think my favorite part was when my dad called Billy Mitchell a dickhead, as I don't think I've ever heard him use that word before. LOL. Also, my brother then went on the Twin Galaxies website and discovered that all of these old Intellivision games had low scores on the leader boards, so he dug up our old console and is now going to make new records in Intellivision games. LOLOLOL. It was a video game weekend all around as my dad got an Xbox 360 for his birthday. I come by this shit honestly, you know.

The nephew was adorable as always -- he's just on the cusp of reading -- and I will probably post a photo and maybe even a video once I get stuff off my camera. We went to this small beach near my parents' house and he had the greatest time splashing around in the water. So cute.

On the train there and back I finally finished watching Torchwood season two. Yeah, I was just a little behind. ;P Anyway, I unexpectedly cried at the end even though I knew what was coming. It was quite well done. Sniffle. Plan on just watching season three on BBC America now that I get that on my cable.

Also, this smelly kid, probably around 11ish, sat next to me on the train and kept blatantly watching TW over my shoulder. Then his little sister came over from the other side of the aisle so she could blatantly watch too. All while their mother did nothing, of course. Finally I turned to them and said, "Look, this is NOT for kids" and turned the screen all the way toward me. That got them to stop. Unfortunately, did not stop the boy from smelling. Eeek.

So why is the third season so short, anyway? What's the behind the scenes story there?

Tonight I had drinks with suricattus and I don't know if I had too much or the wine was unusually potent or what, but I stopped drinking around 8 PM and have felt vaguely drunk ever since. I only had maybe three glasses, probably more like two and a half, so I don't know what the heck that is about. Old age? I dunno.

They're not playing Kara's AI winner song on the AI tour anymore. Ha ha ha ha ha. Meanwhile, Seacrest makes more money than you. I love following him on Twitter so much.

Had coffee and an apple fritter from Tim Horton's today. Yummy.

Heads-up for Dirty Sexy Money fans: the remaining episodes start airing this Saturday night at 10 PM. Sob.

So I had totally forgotten that Antonio Sabato Jr. was going to have a dating show on VH1. They've started running the promos. It's called My Antonio, LOL. Also coming soon are Real Chance of Love 2 and Megan Wants a Millionaire, though I think only juliedarling will be watching the latter.

OK, the wine gave me a headache so I'm going to go take something and go to bed.
