i smell like meat skirt

dianora2Last night I had to go up to my parents' place. My dad's three-wheeled car continues apace; perhaps he'll be done by end of summer. Also, my dad is the cutest thing in the world, and here's why: when he picked me up at the train station he was boring me about a new car game he got for the Xbox. (He knows I like car games.) I just wasn't in the mood to hear about it. And then that night, he's like, "Let me show you that game!" I humored him and let him show it to me, still not in the mood. He asked what name I wanted for my car, and I was like, whatever, I don't care, just put my name in there. So he put in my real name. After he shows it to me, he leaves it with me for a while and I play it and it's actually pretty cool. (It's called Midnight Club, I think.) But I'm tired, so I abandon it and wander off. Right before I go to bed, my dad is playing again. I go in there, and he has given my car a personalized license plate that says DIANORA. Not my real name, but actually, Dianora. HOW CUTE IS THAT? Insanely cute.

md1016 drove down and we went into the city to hook up with oeilade, divanoir, yahtzee63 and G-love for the International Food Festival, the highlight of our year. It was awesome as always (pierogi whee!), even if we did, as oeilade put it, smell like meat skirt afterward. I am tired but sated.

Yet another article telling us the X-Files movie might still happen. Riiiiight.
On tap for tomorrow: icon making, TV catch-up, dish washing, and some writing if I can squeeze it in. I am insanely excited about such lazing about. Even if I am very very sad that tomorrow will be the first Sunday without West Wing. Sniffle.
