Wow, I actually have comments about Desperate Housewives. You really can tell the difference when Marc Cherry is actively involved in writing an episode.

Smell ya later, Applewhites! Okay, I guess my thoughts are a bit deeper than that. Nice twist that Matthew was the one who actually killed Melanie, and that Betty didn't know that. I bet now she's really glad she didn't kill Caleb, ha. I thought Marcia Cross was amazing in that final showdown, fearlessly putting her life on the line for her daughter. She just rocks so hard.

I actually like the chemistry between Marcia Cross and Kyle MacLachlan, so I am very sad that she's getting involved with yet another crazy killer. Sigh. Lame. Am curious as to what his beef his with Mike, though. And I'm just assuming Mike is not dead because he's the hunk of the show and they wouldn't be that stupid, would they?

Zach: stone cold killah. Like adoptive father like son. Felicia: so awesome. Paul: screwed.

This episode was delightfully Edie-free. I am sick of Edie.

Not crazy about the new storyline for Tom & Lynette. For one thing, it reminds me way too much of Gilmore Girls, and we all know how THAT turned out. I did like Lynette raising her voice in the diner, though. Ha. Am very relieved Tom was not cheating, as I love Tom. Reserving judgment for the moment on this whole thing.

I was actually relieved that Carlos was not dead, as I've come to like him instead of hating him. But oh, Carlos, you stupid stupid man. And seriously, why would you want to bang Xiao Mei when you have Gabrielle right there??? I'm a straight woman and I wouldn't turn that down. Sheesh. Looking forward to seeing Gabrielle torture Xiao Mei even more than usual, though.

All in all, a decent finale, and Cherry corrected his Applewhite mistake by getting rid of them, so I'm pleased about that. Maybe I will stick around for season three after all.

I also finally watched the America's Next Top Model finale. Well, weeks ago I predicted a Joanie/Danielle final two with Danielle winning, so, good on me for that. Not that it wasn't a very predictable win: the two of them were pretty much neck and neck in terms of actual modeling, but Danielle had more personality and a hard-knock story, so that put her over the edge. She's a gorgeous girl with a winning personality, so I hope she finds success. Ditto for Joanie, whose look I just adore, and I'm not normally into the whole Grace Kelly thing. She's just so versatile and really knows how to change up her look. I really think Joanie and Danielle are two of the strongest models they've ever had in terms of photography, at least, so it was satisfying to see them end up in the final. It was also nice to feel that I would be happy no matter which of them won. Now if only Jade hadn't been kept around as long as she was...sigh. You know she's going to wind up with a gig on the TV Guide Channel or something, too. Oi.

Did anyone else watch The Surreal Life this season? That Tawny Kitaen is cray-zee.
