I have to say, as someone who stopped watching alias after Nadia got infected (not because of that, just, you know, got tired of it) i could see the sloane thing coming from 100 miles away, but we've decided that with all the complexity of Irina's character from the past seasons that it was all just a fakeout and she's plain old batshit Rambaldi insane? Didn't she try to stop the prophecy from taking place in ...that random russian city? i'm guessing i missed something major, but the point is that the character, which is one of my favorites in the fandom, just seemed to be BRUTALIZED by this last episode -- more as a quick convenient end than anything planned. which pissed me off, a little. they could have given her an ending more in keeping with her character than THAT. Irina was always ruthlessly pragmatic, not fanatic. Again, unless I missed something major.
Totally okay with Sloane being trapped under a big heavy thing for all eternity. TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY NOT COOL WITH SPY!DADDY BEING DEAD. Didn't happen. nuh-uh.
