Well, I'm glad that everyone will have seen the S60 pilot, now. I watched it anyway just to see what music had been added, if anything had been cut, etc. My main worry was that somehow "Under Pressure" would be gone, but it was not, and so I am happy. But, what was up with that fucking .com logo IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN? I am seriously sending NBC an angry e-mail. SO OBNOXIOUS. It makes me not want to watch ANYTHING on your network when you are that disrepectful not only of your viewers, but of your OWN SHOWS. UGH.

I also hope not too many people are too disappointed. This was the most overhyped show in the history of the universe, and this is where I remind everyone that I said all along that I thought the pilot was good, not amazing. High expectations can be a bitch. That last scene still gives me chills, though.

In any case, the previews for next week look so good and I am SO excited about that. Next week is when it really starts, baby! Yay.

Oh, and I loved this from the L.A. Times: Studio 60, I suspect, will be very much Perry and Whitford's show, both within and without. They're as good together in the two episodes NBC sent out as Martin Sheen and the late John Spencer were on West Wing, and their relationship is similar, the Kennedy-esque sense of hope here grafted onto the re-education of late-night TV. Awwwww. *sniffle*

I recommend reading Sorkin and Schlamme's post-show live blogging. Some good stuff there, including Schlamme making a geek WW-related joke about phone booths and this: "Tommy and I knew that Brad was the guy to play Danny from the beginning, but we were initially reluctant to cast him because he'd just gotten done doing seven years of some show about the White House. So we saw every other actor in town for the part and in the end agreed that talent wins. After shooting five episodes, I'm certain we made the right decision."

Also amused at the comments by upset Christians who turned off the show after Wes's rant. Um, a) thanks for both PROVING the point, LOLZ, b) it's too bad you didn't keep watching to find out one of the heroes of the show is a devout Christian, and c) why were you watching an Aaron Sorkin show anyway? Don't you know he's a crackhead whoremonger?

On another note, I've been disappointed since day one that Sorkin chose an SNL-type show as the backdrop for his new series, and that hasn't faded. Why, Aaron, why? Alas.

All in all, I was more excited about Brad being on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today. That was delightful. He got Ellen flustered with his dirty talk. Heeeeee. Brad is a horny guy and he needs to call me. Funny underwear and go on a trip, indeed. I need screencaps! Especially of the sitting on the floor with his legs spread wide, yes. *nods*

Meanwhile, Prison Break was much fun tonight. All I really have to say is: of course he ate it. OF COURSE. Oh, Prison Break, how I love you in your complete cracked-out-ed-ness.

When I said I would have picspam tonight I apparently totally lied. Sorry. By Wednesday for sure.

Call me biased 'cause I'm a huge Malina fangirl, but Aaron's blogging about poor Nate Corddry's "Joshua Malina Watch" was freaking awesome.

I HATED THE NBC LOGO TOO!

As a Christian myself, I kiiiiiiiiinda understood their point, but not really? Um, like you said, Harriet is a Christian herself, you gotta be prepared for the rants on our religion. You have to be prepared to think that not everyone agrees with our lifestyle choices and vice versa.

I still haven't seen Brad on Ellen (um, not in THAT way). Life = incomplete.

I want to see this Ellen episode right now. Someone upload it? You people, not on the ball today.

I liked the New Yorker:

Whitford was rumpled and staunch as Josh Lyman, the deputy chief of staff on “The West Wing”; here he seems filled with a rage so deep it emerges as fatigue.

Hella.

Looking forward to more episodes. Enjoyed it, but as you said, I wasn't blown away. More Brad and Matt, less Steven Weber would be nice - hoping for that.

OMG he said the word porn and the bit about the porn music (I forget his exact wording) and the underwear with propellers and Ellen was so flustered and it was hilarious! Plus, when he was on the ground pretending to change Lulu's diaper? My love grew. <3

That blogging thing was crack. I can't remember the last time I hit the refresh button that much.

I enjoyed it. I was concerned about Matthew Perry's ability to transcend Chandler, but I think he pulled it off for the most part.

And I'm glad to see a Christian character on TV that has more than one dimension.

Wait, there's a new Sorkin show out, with BW? Why didn't someone tell me? (I kid! I kid because I luv!)

I liked it. It's Sorkin, I like everything he does...but I'm reminded that I never feel the emotional connection to his shows the first few episodes. But I'll keep watching.

And, yeah, BW and MP are great. A shame about the charisma black hole that is Amanda Peet, though.
