As for the tooth/jaw pain, it could be an infection. My mum thought there was something terribly, terribly wrong, so did her doctor. He ended up sending her to the dentists to get x-rays of her mouth. Turned out it was a really nasty infection. She had to take horsepillseque antibiotic and pain med for about two weeks, and she might have briefly turned into the devil but it cleared up. And she hasn't had a problem since.
