Whew, it's past midnight, so my birthday is officially over! Except I'm still 35. DAMMIT. Anyhoo, many, many thanks for all the birthday wishes. I had dinner with
oeilade at one of my favorite Italian restaurants and then dessert at Max Brenner, where I got this RIDONKULOUS dessert of cake and ice cream and whipped cream and bananas and sprinkles and toffee cream and chocolate sauce and...it was frickin' huge, OMG.
oeilade took a picture, if she sends it to me, I will have to upload. And the waitress saw me opening presents and took it upon herself to bring over a piece of chocolate with a candle and do the whole singing thing. Oy.
I just wanted to do something simple tonight (group dinner is Friday) because I was excited to get home and watch the premiere of Prison Break.
Ah, Wentworth. I have missed your pretty face. And I have missed the PB crackitude as well.
Well, that was entertaining, and yet, I'm not sure how much I can take of that dirty dirty prison with dirty dirty...everything. Eeeek. I am sure the Panamanian tourist board, if there is one, is loving this depiction of their penal system. Poor Michael is so in over his head -- it's all way too raw and brutal for him, the poor pretty thing. Also, I love when Michael being hot is a plot point. Ha.
I really did not ever need to see Bellick in tighty-whities, let alone for an entire episode and for god knows how many more. Poor Wade. It's a living, I guess! Loved T-Bag getting right in there as soon as he figured out who the power was. Can't wait for the inevitable manipulation and betrayal, there. And Mahone going through the DTs on top of everything else. I love that Michael is in there with his three least favorite people in the world, LOL.
The fight was BADASS. Classic Prison Break. When Mahone snapped that guy's neck? DAMN. And had every right to do it because of the knife. Genius. But he didn't even FLINCH. Oh, crack. *happy sigh*
I thought that the Company or whoever just wanted Michael to go to Sona so they could see if he COULD break out, like, to study him and stuff, so who knew there was a real purpose? He has to break out the Count of Monte Cristo or something, apparently. I hope he becomes Bellick's Miyagi or something. "Wax on, wax off, here's a piece of rat."
And I am looking forward to seeing what Lincoln will get to do now that the repetitive "Please let my brother out of jail/Where's Sara" stuff is done. I didn't like the "hot" chick at all, but the Panamanian chick has promise. We'll see. The bit with the jacket at the restaurant was HILARIOUS. Lincoln doesn't wear jackets -- he doesn't even wear collars! Haven't you SEEN this show? Geez.
The Sara stuff makes me too upset, I can't even talk about it. Wibble.
I'm still not as excited as I had been about the season thanks to the casting spoiler of doom, but I'm definitely interested in seeing where things go, and can't imagine I won't enjoy the ride.
As if that wasn't enough, Bradley Whitford was on Living With Ed! He came over to Ed Begley Jr.'s house to check out the green living. He was so weird and adorable, barking at their dog and being uncomfortable at their marital squabbles and buying Ed a chair. And when they looked at the "engine" of the electric truck, Brad lifted the hood and his shirt rode up a little bit. That was my favorite part. He also wore his sunglasses on his forehead Danny Tripp-style, which was a bit disorienting. Sigh. Love that man.
And The Hills was catty-tastic. Meow. Also, it's disturbing when the most mature person in an episode is arguably Jason. Also also, Elodie was awesome tonight. BURN.
Speaking of The Hills, Lauren's fashion line is now live. Simple, but pretty, and quite reasonably priced, all things considered.
I TiVoed K-Ville but didn't have time to watch it tonight. I have to assume it's doomed, but since they're actually filming in New Orleans I want to check it out.
Happy Birthday (a few minutes late now)
kirbyfest! You have a good birth date. :D

Date: 2007-09-18 05:28 pm (UTC)The Future Civilan Leader Lee Adama Rap Song
'Not a civilization but a gang'
He's the master of harangue
But with those muscles of tautness
legislatin’ with hotness,
I’m sure we’d all agree
to say: “Command me, Lee!”
And if he could occasionally please
orate sans any sleeves
the temperature’d rise
by four thousand degrees
I don’t care what Roslin says
we want Lee as our prez
pinstripes and scruff—
we just can’t get enough!
A crusader for justice
with principled toughness
He always will floor us
for lovin’ habeas corpus!
Lee doesn’t just rock the fair trials
he does it with style
he’s got a thousand new recruits
in the Fanclub of the Suit
But if his popularity should wane
for his smarts or his charms
He’ll just shrug and proclaim
“But look at my arms!”
FOR A BRIGHT AND PRETTY FUTURE
ELECT LEE.
He scolds so bold
’cause the people need to be told.
PEACE.

Date: 2007-09-18 10:27 pm (UTC)How much do you love that Lauren named all her clothes after her BFFs? <3 On the Tyra Banks show, Tyra was like, "Hey, where's the Heidi dress?" and Lauren was like, "Yeah, must have forgotten that one." She was wearing her Whitney dress on the show, and Whitney was there modeling another dress. And there is a Lo and an Audrina! Aww.
