Remember when Kara was kick-ass and awesome? Those were good times.
Things I liked about this episode:
1. Aaron Douglas tearing it up.
2. Boomer turning out to be just as much of an asshole as I always thought she was.
3. The thirty seconds of Kara's story when she was playing All Along the Watchtower.
I think that was about it. Christ that was boring. I'm so glad that with only four episodes left we had an entire episode of Kara baring her soul to someone we've never seen before. I mean yeah, there was the supposed apparent payoff of his being her father, but that became obvious pretty early on and all that was left was for me and

Man, Kara is never more boring than when she's being mopey. I'm so glad this whole episode was nothing but.
Of course, the best part, and by best I mean most idiotic, was that after finding out that Kara's father taught her that song, Tigh and Ellen and Tory do.....ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Wow. WOW. What a GREAT payoff. That was awesome. Jumpin' Jesus on a pogo stick. Can we just come right out and say that Kara is half-Cylon already? Does RDM have premature ejaculation problems in real life that are making him afraid of blowing his wad too early on the show? First Chris Carter's sexual dyusfunction ruins a show for me, now this.
Did Boomer's ship blow up at the end or no? I thought it didn't, I thought she jumped, but I don't know if that's true. Killing Hera would be pretty dumb, but then, this show being dumb doesn't surprise me lately. Maybe Hera died because her father fucked another woman and ALL YOU NEED IS WUB to survive as a Cylon child.
Helo, you are a big loser for not recognizing your own wife. Be careful not to go fucking random 8's while they're fixing the ship, k? (BTW, didn't Adama specify that only humans fix the ship? So why are all these sixes and eights running around in their tight jumpsuits? Hmmm, maybe I just answered my own question.)
Poor Chief. Poor, stupid Chief.
Oh well. On the plus side, I think they've managed to make me not care about Kara/Lee anymore, since they clearly do not. Congratulations, RDM & Co. -- it took Chris Carter 7 seasons to make me this apathetic, but took you less than four! Good work. I'm kind of glad as it will make letting the show go that much easier. I always hated myself for getting as emotionally invested as I did. I really need to not do that with genre shows as they are run by male genre geeks with issues and can only end in tears. Or apathy. I do still love Lee even if no one who works on the show does, though, since he's just a boring human and not an exciting Cylon. Thank god Jamie moved on to a non-genre gig. (Well, kind of. I mean, L&O is genre, just in a different way.) I might go read spoilers now since I don't even care anymore. (BTW, folks, if you use a spoiler cut but then your icon and mood theme give it completely away, there's no point in even using a spoiler cut. Just sayin'.)
Anyway. Time for bed. And Happy Birthday
