It's a little scary how non-productive I have been this weekend. Impressive, even. I haven't even gotten much TV watching done -- just two episodes of season 2 Rescue Me. Very sad. I am having way too much fun making "V" icons, though, and I hope to finish those soon.

Oh -- I did watch the episode of The Hills that I'd missed due to no cable. And I have some questions. To wit: )

Went with [livejournal.com profile] bexatious, [livejournal.com profile] leftofcenternyc and [livejournal.com profile] divanoir to see Superman Returns. I...didn't think it was very good. And Bex is spreading a filthy lie that I cried, which I SO DID NOT. Unless it was tears of impatience and boredom. I just thought it was overlong, and, well, kind of boring. The plot is nonexistent, Kate Bosworth sucks (I spent a lot of the movie mentally trying to recast Lois Lane, although really, just about any actress in Hollywood would have been better, I think.), Brandon Routh is perfectly bland, and the best thing about it was the 20-year-old theme music. The most interesting character was James Marsden's character -- I kind of wanted to see a movie about him instead, which is kind of sad. Some spoilery comments. ) I also kind of had some issues with Superman spending time foiling convenience store robberies instead of mass murders in the Sudan or something, but I think that's just because I've become overly cynical in my old age. Anyway. I know a lot of people liked it so I guess I'm just missing something. I had a long talk with the ex-boy who also saw it this weekend, and he felt the same way I did, so at least I'm not alone in this world. I just -- all I wanted from that movie was to be entertained, and honestly, I wasn't, for most of the time. Most of the time I was bored. Oh well. I went in not expecting anything, so no great loss, I guess. Hey, it was better than X3! And it looked pretty, at least.

Yesterday I turned on the TV and it was tuned to SoapNet because I'd been taping the GH episodes I missed, and a show had just started called "One Day With," which is a show where Wally Kurth spends a day with a soap star. This episode was dinner (not a full day) with Tony Geary, and it was awesome. I learned more about him in that 30 minutes than I'd ever known about him period. It was pretty cool, if you're a fan I suggest trying to track down the rerun. He also made a snide reference to Megan McTavish that made me happy. He's also so very very gay and it makes me sad that he doesn't feel he can be out about it, but that's another story.

For those of you who haven't heard, there's a behind the scenes clip up at NBC's Studio 60 site. Brad and Matt goodness abounds.

Funny Doctor Who (Ten) Vid set to "Secret Agent Man." Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] bentleywg for the link.

Geek love: Henry Jenkins has a blog! You can get the LJ feed at [livejournal.com profile] henryjenkins. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] fialka for the heads-up on this one (and yes, I will respond to your post).

[livejournal.com profile] carmen_sandiego posted a funny ficlet type thing: Taco night aboard the Galactica.

Here's a random question: if you buy a TV episode off of iTunes, can you burn it onto a DVD, or is it copy-protected?
