roller coaster day
Nov. 8th, 2006 11:59 pmI'm afraid to believe that we WON THE SENATE. Ahem. I am going to wait until Allen's concession speech, dammit, because I'm afraid, I'm afraid to believe. omg omg omg. I may have gotten teary-eyed when I heard the news. I dream of checks and balances like the founding fathers intended. It's a crazy dream, but I have it anyway.
It was a crazy day because I had a couple of disasters happen at work, so that was terrible (and is ongoing), and then I was obsessively following the Senate stuff and then Rumsfeld resigns so that the Republicans can take over the news cycle and I've never seen anything so transparent but that's okay, because he's GONE, and after reading State of War I'm convinced Rumsfeld is actually the worst person in that administration, except they've nominated an Iran-Contra character to replace him, which is insane, but OMG THE ROLLER COASTER RIDE IS KILLING ME.
ANTM: If that elimination had not gone that way, but had gone the other way instead, I would be on a rampage right now. But it didn't and I'm not.
The Nine was kind of unbelievably excellent tonight. Wow. Just excellent writing and riveting acting and I think I was drawn in to a degree I hadn't been before. Just an extremely well-done hour of television. Kudos. And I am such a Nick/Kat shipper that it's ridiculous.
As for Lost....oh, Lost. It was awesome, and I loved it, but....I don't know. More and more each day I am grateful for Prison Break, where my ship is basically the ONLY SHIP ON THE SHOW. Hee. ( More. )
What am I supposed to do during this new "winter hiatus" with no Lost and no Prison Break and no 24 yet? Grrrrrr. Ah well, maybe I'll catch up on Netflix. Wibble.
Mahir thinks Borat is based on him. Because there can only be one unintentionally funny guy in the world, apparently.
The West Wing Complete Series DVD set looks pretty cool. I won't be buying it, but it sure looks purty.
