apocalypto
Jan. 14th, 2008 11:19 pmEnjoyed the hell out of Sarah Connor Chronicles tonight, henceforth known as SCC. Definitely watching this show for as long as it keeps me this happy. Plus, Johnny Gavin is married to Penny Widmore, which is one hell of a fandom collision, so that alone keeps me giggling. John is kind of a dumbass for someone who grows up to lead the human race, though, eh? I did love the scene in the electronics store. Wait till he gets a load of the iPod!
I was not nearly as entertained by Prison Break tonight, which felt plodding and pointless. Also, when you have Michael Scofield in an outdoor hotbox but fix it so he can't take his long-sleeved shirt off, you've reached the point of parody, my friends. The best part of the episode was Sucre, and, you know, that's a scary thought. OK, and the LJ scene was good too. And Bellick the man-killer. But that was it. Thank god Wentworth is still pretty.
I'm sure the "All Stars" selected for the new Survivor could make me more nauseated, but I'm not sure how. Seriously, I don't even know if I'm going to WATCH this season. Why would I willingly tune in to see Johnny Fuckhead Fairplay on anything? And Parvati, who, you know, SUCKED? And some other chicks I barely even remember? I don't really remember Eliza, but I'm pretty sure I hated her. UGH. Only people I'm happy about are Yau-Man, Amanda, and Ozzy. That's about it. Hopefully they'll vote off Johnny Asshole first ep, because really, why would anyone keep him around? Again, I say: UGH. This is why I hate All-Stars stuff. HATE.
Anyway. Here's a link to the final results of my Golden Girls Roommate Poll. Dorothy won handily, and the Rose voters evinced the most tendency to defend themselves. Interesting.
the_sneeze wonders why there are no female cereal mascots.
More rambling from Brothers & Sisters showrunner Jon Robin Baitz about being fired.

Got this interesting article via DKos, too: What health care plans do the candidates use? And do they cover the people who work for their campaigns?
Doctors still think fibromyalgia doesn't exist. It's interesting, to me, but apparently not to the reporter who wrote this article, that these patrician doctors feel this way about a disease that largely affects women. If this were a disease that disproportionately affected men, would they feel the same way? Somehow I doubt it. A lot.
It didn't snow here, at all, so yay. Hopefully my snow boots will arrive before snow does.
