Happy Battlestar Day, everybody! Well, a little bit late now. :)

ExpandThoughts on the premiere. )

I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff but I'm tired now. I wound up uploading both mood themes I was considering, will probably toggle back and forth between both. And never fear, Josh is not gone forever -- my man will be back. :)
Whew. Spent way too much of today wrestling with tax forms; it was super complicated for me this year, I had to file a nonresident return for a very tiny amount of money earned in CA, so I had to figure that out, and then do my regular NY taxes and get a credit on that for paying CA, and.....UGH. It sucked. And I'm still not sure I did it right, but it LOOKS right, I think, so fuck it, I'm sending it in and they can come after me if I'm wrong. Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] anxietygrrl for helping me out with it all today. I'm kind of bummed because I was hoping to do some clutter combat today, but getting those taxes done is a huge relief, so I'll take it.

Not much else going on. I was fortunate enough to see [livejournal.com profile] mabfan and [livejournal.com profile] gnomi yesterday; they were in town for the day and stopped by my office, so we got to chat a bit. It was great to see them. And [livejournal.com profile] oeilade and I had dinner at a hot new restaurant and it was yummy. Also, disorienting because the restaurant used to be a Pizzeria Uno and they kept the flooring and a lot of the wall tile. So it felt like Uno, but different. It was weird. And I made the devastating discovery that the Ben & Jerry's nearby, which had been there FOREVER, was CLOSED. WTF? What kind of world do we live in where a Ben & Jerry's can't stay open? It is SO WRONG. It will probably be replaced by a bank or a nail salon. Manhattan is dying, I swear to god. Sigh.

Although I would never want to give him the publicity this t-shirt would provide, this I Blame Spencer tee makes me giggle.

Geeks love cake! Here's a great video of all the different geeky cakes the author has found on the internet. So much fun, take a peek.

81% of the country thinks we're moving in the wrong direction. It's always disorienting to me to be in the majority on something. ;)

Those Girls Next Door get paid. Damn.

There's going to be a season two of Tila Tequila? Why am I not surprised? I love how now with these shows we don't even pretend that they're really going to find love, it's just all about keeping the franchise going.

I had planned on taking a break from apartment hunting this weekend, but one of the brokers I saw last weekend called and said he has a couple of places he wants to show me, so why not. Hope springs eternal.

Wow, this post is boring. Sorry about that.
