Today during the blessed oasis that was my nephew's nap, my dad and I watched "Valley of Darkness" and "Fragged." (I screwed up last night -- we had been watching "Scattered" yesterday. I always get those early second season eps mixed up.) Nothing like BSG watching for father/daughter bonding. I'd forgotten what an awesome episode "Valley of Darkness" is, mostly for Apollo's complete and utter ass-kicking in that ep. Anyway, my dad seems to be enjoying it although he has trouble getting past Gaius' lunacy and doesn't understand why I love him so. Oh, and in "Fragged" we saw the Quorum of Twelve and they're wearing
these spiffy little sashes, and I don't understand why they don't do that anymore, as they are denying me the hilarity of seeing a certain someone wearing one. Also, there's something sort of heartbreaking now about watching Chief be so awesome on Kobol.
In other news, my dad's Pacey boat is finished. I know you're excited.
( Evidence behind the cut, along with nephewness. )At the Tonys tonight,
Boeing Boeing won Best Revival (yay!) and Mark Rylance won for Best Lead Actor, over frickin' Patrick Stewart and Laurence Fishburne. That makes me laugh and laugh. Mark Rylance is one of the most brilliant comic actors I've ever seen and I'm thrilled for him. Still: Stewart is PISSED tonight. Heh.
NYT article on Russell T Davies.Dave Foley is going to guest star on

Emma Watson is a new face of Chanel. Wow.
If you're not reading Jorge Garcia's blog you're missing great photos like
this one. Hee.
I so, so, so don't want to go to work tomorrow. And work tomorrow SHOULD be fine, really, not any crazier than usual. I'm just feeling the Sunday night blues hard tonight I guess.
Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!
