this week is taking too long
Apr. 1st, 2009 11:43 pmGot some wonderful news this afternoon that Stargazer by
claudiagray has hit (or, to be more accurate, will hit) #4 on the New York Times bestseller list!!!! She and I had drinks at the Algonquin tonight to celebrate, which was fun even if we did not see Matilda this time. So if you haven't picked up the first book, Evernight, you should go do that now, k? (By the way, our new code word for the BSG finale is "Doomba," as in Roomba of Dooooooooom. Heh.)
( Lost )
( AI Results )
By the way, if you've ever wondered to yourself, Self, just how inane would a Kimberly Caldwell-penned AI recap be? Well, now you have your answer.
Sad about Guiding Light being canceled. I never watched, but losing a soap is never good. And it won't be the last, either. :(
Many of you sent me the link for the Tauntaun Sleeping Bag today, so thank you for that. Aside from that I'm kind of over the April Fool's Day thing.
I'm seriously so happy that Bradley Whitford has shaved his mustache. Also, the little vid at that link is funny if you haven't seen it yet.
Michael Barone said this in Washington Monthly: "the Republican Party is the party of people who are considered, by themselves and by others, as normal Americans—Northern white Protestants in the 19th century, married white Christians more recently—while the Democratic Party is the party of the out groups who are in some sense seen, by themselves and by others, as not normal—white Southerners and Catholic immigrants in the 19th century, blacks and white seculars more recently." O RLY?
A result of the recession you may not have considered: people abandoning their boats because they can't afford to take care of them anymore. So if you've been wanting to scavenge a boat, now's your time!
In brighter news, Project Runway will air this summer as the Weinstein Co. came to a settlement. It will still be in L.A., though, so don't get too excited. ;)
OK, have a terrible feeling a migraine might be coming, so I should go to bed now.
