i just want my 750 gigs dammit
Apr. 2nd, 2009 10:52 pmI turned Supernatural off after approximately eight minutes. I couldn't stand the way it was making my skin crawl with embarrassment. Ick.
I have a very important announcement to make: I have a huge crush on Brendan on Survivor. I know this is huge breaking news, but try to contain yourselves. It does squick me just slightly since Brendan is my brother's name, but I'm doing my best to deal with that.
In case you needed any further proof that io9 is populated by bunch of utter jackasses (and why would you): they think Bobby Cannavale is a better Cupid than Piven. NO REALLY. I...have no words.
Interesting link that
yahtzee63 pointed me to: How the BSG finale wasn't just anti-science, it was anti-science fiction. Now, I never watched BSG because it was "science fiction" in the first place -- by and large I'm not a fan of SF TV, for whatever reason -- but I think she makes an interesting point, even if I don't entirely agree with it.
Oh, and
nnaylime and
em_meredith will enjoy this post about BSG character deaths very much as it has pie charts and spreadsheets!
According to Jorge Garcia's blog, they just wrapped filming on the current season of Lost. Woe.
The NYT is collecting a really interesting assortment of photos from readers illustrating how the recession is affecting their areas. Some cool photography work there (and some heartbreaking content).
Dell has delayed my computer shipment AGAIN. And the customer service rep was a condescending jackass when I talked to him about it. UGH. I *should* get it by the 16th, and if I don't, I'm going to completely lose my shit. And/or write a detailed post to Consumerist. Apparently it was such a good deal they were running that demand outstripped their supply. Take that, recession!
I love these two pictures from the Obamas' trip to London:
( Behind the cut to spare f-lists. )
Watched a few minutes of the ER finale in time to see Alexis Bledel (awww) and lots of gushing blood (ewwwww). That was enough of that. Let me know how it turns out.
Mad Men is officially returning this summer, according to a new AMC promo. YAY. And Rescue Me starts next week. And Josh Jackson, I mean, Fringe comes back next week too. Thank god there is TV coming down the pike which will hopefully make me happy. (Well, in the case of Mad Men and Rescue Me, they will probably depress the hell out of me while making me happy at the same time.)
SO HAPPY tomorrow is Friday. I need sleep.
