Did my taxes, did the dishes, and am now pretty much lazing around. Should really do a load of laundry later. We'll see.
Yesterday I went shopping with
girlunravelled and I met her at DSW where she was shoe shopping and I was not supposed to buy anything at all, but then I saw these shoes on sale and had to have them. SO ADORABLE. They're a little big but I'll make them work, dammit, because they are so cute and were only $27. Woot.
At least I didn't buy these for $140. I THOUGHT ABOUT IT.
I also got to see R.'s Kindle and it is pretty shiny. Need to see what I can do about getting an e-reader for work without paying for it.
(Speaking of which, it's looking good that I'll get to go to a free screening of Angels & Demons. Woo hoo! I was not looking forward to paying for that.)
I also saw Jimmy Fallon on the street yesterday. That's the second time I've seen him in the Union Square area, though that doesn't mean much since half of NYC hangs out there on nice weekends.
I'm so excited to discover that this season of Rescue Me is going to be 22 episodes!!! Although I admit I am skeptical about them sustaining it for that long. Still, as long as Lou is funny and Sean is himself, I'll probably be happy enough.
Watched another ep of Law & Order UK, #5. I feel like I'm parceling them out at this point. :P Steel referred to having a son in this episode; do we know if he's married or divorced or a eunuch or what?
Speaking of the Brits: Village mob warns off Google Maps car. LOLOL.
THIS TOTALLY FREAKS ME OUT. It's a giant sea worm, and when I read the warning that it looks like something out of a science fiction horror movie, I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED. *shudder*
canadiangirl_86 made a beautiful and heartbreaking Lee/Kara farewell vid. You can find it here if you're interested. My heart still hurts.
Kidnapping of boys on the rise in China thanks to their belief that girls are worthless. Horrible.
Jon Stewart joins me in telling Rush Limbaugh not to let New York hit him in the ass on the way out:
OK, I think I'm going to try to make some Matt Devlin icons before dinner.
