So. That was a shock, but not a total complete shock. Chris had a weak night; Elliott had a very strong night; and Katharine got so slammed by the judges that it mobilized her fan base. Chris would have been better served if the judges had been harsher with him. Also, it seems like there's a history with this show of a seemingly more deserving person being eliminated fourth and leaving in a seemingly less deserving person to be eliminated third. I feel badly for Katharine, actually, who looked completely flabbergasted by the whole thing. Oh well. Only two more episodes anyway, what difference does it make? It's not like Chris isn't going to get a record deal anyway. And I'm with

Vaughn is dreamy. Yeah, that's pretty much all I got. Kind of lame for Anna to go through that whole transformation only to get killed right away. Sucks to be her. And yay Sark! The end.
Holy crap that was good. Mr. Eko episodes are love, for one thing, and nice use of Claire's psychic. When Locke and Eko have scenes together I am mesmerized; I cannot take my eyes off these men and the way they speak to each other. Terry O'Quinn deserves a fucking Emmy for his work tonight -- showing Locke realizing that he has been duped yet again, for the umpteenth time in his life. The orientation tape was campy goodness, and my first thought was of course to wonder if they had other videos in there. Movie night on the island! Also, um, the surveillance TVs gave me porny fic ideas. Ahem. Anyway.

Hurley crying was heartbreaking. Ripped me in two. Poor Hurley.
Harold Perrineau rocked, bringing such a mix of guilt and fear and caution to his role tonight. Feeling guilty for shooting Libby, but still hoping she'd die. Wow.
There has not been nearly enough Sayid lately. Did Naveen Andrews get a movie gig or something?
Loved the question mark in the dirt. Loved Locke having Eko's dream. Loved Jack's scene by himself in the bathroom at the end, losing a patient, feeling helpless. Loved Ana Lucia being dead. Loved it all. Love this show.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! I am SO VERY HAPPY "MoJo" will not be in the final. Wow, I actually don't hate any of the final three, and don't have a problem with any of them winning. How refreshing.
By the way, the bugs? Yeah, I would have been so out of there. I almost puked just watching them on TV. There are some things I would not do for any amount of money.
Brad Whitford quote of the day: Seven years of sexual tension! I'm sure he took a big nap after that. I'm sure she wanted to talk, but he went right out. I think it's interesting that he's doing the lion's share of publicity for the show ending -- it's clearly because he has an NBC show in the fall and the network wants him to pimp it. But it makes me wonder if that makes it more or less likely that he was one of the stars supposedly asking for more money for the retrospective. Speaking of which, I saw an article today, I can't remember where, I've seen so many at this point, that said that when the stars asked for money, NBC refused to negotiate *any* amount, even less than what they were asking. Hrm.
On a related note, I found the most hilarious thing today: Dead as a Doorman on German DVD. Maybe it makes more sense in German.
On a final happy note, Bush gets the lowest approval numbers of his presidency. Actually, the lowest approval rating of many, many presidencies. Ha. Although I would like to single out one Bernice Davis:
"We should have stayed out of Iraq until we knew more about it," Bernice Davis, a Republican from Lamar, Mo., who said she now disapproved of Mr. Bush's performance, said... "The economy is going to pot. Gas prices are escalating. I just voted for Bush because he's a Republican, even though I disapproved of the war. If I could go back, I would not vote for him."
Ms. Davis: People like you are exactly what's wrong with this country. Thanks a lot. P.S. You stink.
