it's like nascar

Had a crazy fun LJ-riffic weekend with
skywaterblue,
intopolitics,
xyellowroset,
christinekh,
leftofcenternyc and
bexatious, including a chance to have brunch on Sunday with the uberfabulous
juliedarling. It was truly a Bradley Whitford-filled weekend; let's see, we watched Little Manhattan, various Josh/Donna WW stuff, Dead as a Doorman, and of course the WW finale.
And then, today, Team Stalker, as Bex has dubbed us, went to stand outside Radio City for the arrivals at the NBC upfront. And yes, we did see Bradley Whitford; we got to watch him make his way through the press gauntlet for probably a good half-hour or so. It was just across the street, so it was a pretty good view. And yes, he looked damn good. As he was making his way into the auditorium we may have yelled out "We love you Brad!" Ahem. It was funny, for a decent amount of time he was giving an interview pretty much right across from me, and his eyes definitely flicked my way a couple times; probably wondering who the crazy woman was obsessively pointing a camera in his direction. We also think he may have recognized
intopolitics which is extremely amusing.
Anyway, it was super cool, and we saw pretty much all of the stars at one point or another. Basically, if you read about a star in a new NBC show, we saw them. As well as the non-fiction types -- Donald Trump, Regis Philbin, Meredith Viera, Matt Lauer, and Al Roker, who tried to shake my hand but I was focused on Brad and ignored him. Hee. I think the people I was most excited to see aside from the Studio 60 boys (Brad, Matt, Tim) were Jeffrey Tambor and Tony Hale, aka George and Buster Bluth. Squee!! Very exciting. Oh, and Greg Grunberg!
The title of this post comes from the moment when my digital camera's batteries died, and
bexatious offered me her extras, and it turned into a three-person operation with
leftofcenternyc and we changed the batteries in like 60 seconds flat. Total Nascar action.
Unfortunately, due to the weather the press gauntlet was underneath tents, which means none of my pictures really came out because it was dark under there. I did get a really good side view shot of Timothy Busfield, though, as it was right after he got out of the limo, before he went under the tents.

Tim with no facial hair! That's Evan Handler in the white suit, and there's Matthew Perry on the right making some kind of funny face.

That's Jeff Goldblum on the right. And standing next to Tony Hale is Andy Richter.
You really can't even tell that it's Greg, can you? Well, it was. Standing next to him is Milo Ventimiglia.
The pictures of Brad REALLY did not come out well, unfortunately; I shall share some anyway. You can at least tell that it's him.

I'm concerned that Studio 60 is going to be on opposite CSI, however; if this show tanks I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Eeek.
Anyway, I am completely exhausted from the weekend's festivities, and I have to go to bed so I can get my beauty sleep.
Thoughts on the WW finale (and the Prison Break finale) to come tomorrow. Not only have I been busy, but I've been feeling very unsettled and anxious about WW ending, and it's making the formation of thoughts difficult. I didn't actually cry while watching the show and I think I'm having a delayed reaction or something. Don't like it. Sniffle.

But happy for you.
Did I mention the jealousy?
