make a monkey out of me

My life is weird. Today my brother e-mailed me and offered me free tickets to see a taping of Celebrity Jeopardy! at Radio City Music Hall tomorrow night. So that's what I'm doing. We won't be seeing every episode, but of the 30 participating celebrities listed, one is Jane Kaczmarek, which means, infinitesimal chance that Bradley Whitford will be in the audience tomorrow night as well. Hey, you never know. Regardless, should be fun. It also means I have to schlep out to Long Island tomorrow to get the tickets, and make the horrible sacrifice of seeing my adorable nephew, ha ha.
A&E (aetv.com) is having a big clearance sale on DVDs -- I got season one of The Kids in the Hall for 18 bucks. Woot!
I can't believe the animal trainer is on before Bradley on Leno. WTF? Upstaged by the animal trainer, damn.
Pretty good. I liked all of the insurgent/occupation stuff, despite the Iraq anvils. Whatever they did to Tigh and the mass execution gearing up at the end were particularly disturbing. As is Ellen Tigh and Dean Stockwell sharing a sex scene. *shudder* Love Tyrol. Poor Gaeta. Also, Gaeta looked kind of hot, which disturbs me.
Not enough Gaius. James Callis was brilliant in the signing scene, but, not enough Gaius.
OMG fat Apollo body double! *dies laughing* And the bad prosthetics. Holy lord, so funny. "Get your fat ass out of here." *dies laughing again* Ahem. Thank god that will be gone soon. Anyway, I liked all of the Galactica/Pegasus stuff -- what I really liked about the Apollo/Bill discussions was that they both had points and I alternately found myself agreeing and disagreeing with both of them. And the hug slayed me, of course. Interesting that Bill has become so close to Sharon -- was she still in a cell, or are they letting her live with Helo? Didn't pay close enough attention to that. Damn, everyone got married during that year, eh?
Kara story = BORING. First of all, Kara is least interesting when she is Mary Sue, who is soooooo amazing and irresistible that a Cylon has become unhinged and locked her up in hopes she will luuuuv him. OMG BORING. Also, puke. And taking one of your most dynamic characters and isolating her from the rest of the cast? Not a smart move. As for the kid, eh, whatever. Also boring. I hope this arc doesn't last too long.
I love that Tigh is like Bizarro Yoda or something. Why are all the female Cylons hot and the male Cylons not? Were Roslin and Richard Hatch flirting? Why does Helo have such a bad haircut? Questions to ponder.
Overall, I enjoyed it, and am very interested to see what's in store. Especially once Apollo!Arms are back.
Glarkware has a Studio 60 crackpipe remote t-shirt which I must have. They also brought back the BSG toaster shirt and are offering a Not a Robot shirt as well.
Holy lord, is Bradley going to get bumped from Leno because of a monkey? *glares at television*
ETA: And Brad is on and spends the entire time talking about balls and making inappropriate Foley jokes. He is a pervert and I LOVE HIM.
