DEMS WIN THE HOUSE! Woo hoo! Senate's not looking good though. Senate was always the less certain branch in any case. Congratulations Speaker Pelosi!

The Democrat won my district with 89% of the vote. Awww. Hillary got about 67%. Spitzer won governor with 70%, no surprise there. Reynolds won his district, though, even though he helped cover up Mark Foley sexually harrassing pages, which makes me sick. Sigh.

Anyway. I watched the rest of TAR but don't have much to say about it other than: finally. Haven't watched BSG yet. Thought Gilmore Girls was decent, not spectacular. Although any episode with shirtless Luke has to be pretty good. Also, I do not agree with this NYT critic, at all. I guess she actually thought last season was good or something. Whatever.

[livejournal.com profile] bentleywg links to this article which gives even MORE reasons to love Tim Gunn. LOVE. My favorite part: In later years his lucky younger sister had her own architect on hand to assemble Barbie’s many residences. “Barbie’s town house, the pool and cabana, the sweet shop: I built them all,” he said. Heeeee.

General Hospital today made me very, very happy. SO CUTE. (See icon.) Yesterday's episode just reaffirmed for me that I haven't liked Laura in years and still don't. Sigh.

I seriously need more hours in the day. Or to be able to get by on less sleep.

ETA: And South Dakota rejects the abortion ban. *sigh of relief*

INDIANA REPRESENTS!!! I am the happiest girl in all the land.

I am terrified that I will wake up, and none of it will be real.

Right or wrong, I thought the Times GG review stood out far above their usual coverage because it seemed to indicate that the reviewer had watched the show more than four times before writing. This, of course, represents a depth of research Alessandra Stanley would never approach.

Very true. And I suspect the NYT will not have to run a correction afterward, which will be quite something.

Actually, Nancy Pelosi is Speaker now, first female speaker EVER, which you know will drive dear ole Dennis insane.

Also, I've been reading your journal for a while, but never introduced myself. Love your West Wing fanfic; love your Studio 60 and Prison Break commentary! Therefore, I've decided we would get along swimmingly. Hi there!

I thought last season sucked ass, but I think, looking at the series overall, she's right. This season has lost a lot of ground on the original vision of the show. All the Dorothy Parkerness has gone.

Stop the presses! Arizona bucks national trend and defeats gay marriage ban! Every now and then, this state surprises me. Not nearly often enough, of course. (And we'll try to forget all the racist anti-immigration stuff that passed, sigh.)

Reason enough to discount everything she has to say on the subject.
