First, some news you can use:

Psych returns on Friday, January 19th at 10 PM. (For those of you who watch Monk, that premieres right before.) Yaaaaaaay Psych, although I kind of wish they were keeping it as a summer series. It was the perfect summer series! Sigh.

Battlestar Galactica returns on Sunday, January 21st at 10 PM.

The Dresden Files premieres on Sunday, January 21st at 9 PM. It had been rumored it was taking over the BSG slot but it looks like they're just going to run Jake 2.0 all night on Fridays instead.

And if you watched tonight's Prison Break you already know that returns on January 22nd. :) But on to the episode itself... Seriously, what was she doing with that razor blade, with the running it over the mirror? Does that sharpen it or something? Please to be explaining to me.

I am wrecked, wrecked that Sara threw away her cell phone. Noooooooooooo! How will Michael find you? And that phone message she left for him -- GAH. And he will never hear it! Oh, the star-crossedness of it all makes me weep. SO GOOD.

Poor stupid postal worker. I laughed out loud at the cheesetasticness of "Mr. Don't Ask Don't Tell." I liked T-Bag toasting the other 3 escapees. I loved Sucre jumping out of the plane. "Oh HELL no!" Hee. Loved Bellick getting his just desserts but am a bit disappointed that he's in it again last week. That really should have been the last we saw of him, that shot on the cell block. Would have been so much more effective IMO.

Verrrrrry interesting development with Kellerman. I did not see that coming. I'm definitely digging it. I wonder if it was an impulse decision on his part because it's hard to believe he could have controlled that outcome, it was much more likely that Michael and Linc would have been killed.

Was I supposed to know who the silent man with Asian man was? I'm terrible at remembering that sort of thing. Have we seen him before?

I almost got teary-eyed with the scene between the two brothers in the van. Love. Loved Linc convincing Michael to go with something on instinct even though every detail couldn't be planned.

All in all, a great ending and January seems very far away! Sniffle.

Studio 60 made me happy: Mark McKinney! Mark McKinney having scenes with Lucy Davis! Bestill my heart. Also, shout-out to my fellow GH watchers: Nikolas' psycho nanny was on tonight! With a couple lines and everything! Seriously, I could not believe it. And her hair looked so much better than it does on GH, LOLOL. Good for her.

Good episode, although I can already hear my mother complaining that it was too confusing, and I'm sure she will not be alone in that. I thought it worked fairly well, though, except at the end when they repeated the Deal or No Deal sketch. Speaking of which, I think part of my soul died when I watched that. Most depressing thing ever. But I did like that Danny was the one getting all the laughs, ha ha ha. Brad's comic timing pwns Howie's any day of the week, in any case.

I so agree with Danny on the anonymous internet sourcing. Especially if it's from AICN. No one should ever care about anything anyone ever says on AICN.

I was delighted, delighted I tell you, by all the Suzanne stuff. Especially when she asked for more money to buy clothes. HA. Although what kind of job gives you money to buy clothes? I need to get one of those jobs. "You look good in those new clothes." Heeee. Very excited about her having more screen time.

Loved Matt's deciding Danny is pregnant. Hilarious. And no more smoking Matt, that makes me kind of sad for some reason.

Harry was funny with her abysmal joke telling. Although I have to say, I love Harry, but I thought it worked well that her screen time was decreased this episode. Or maybe it's just because I liked having so much screen time for Matt and Danny...

...and Mark McKinney, who was SO good. Oh Mark, I am so proud of you. Now write funnier sketches for the show, because so far, not so much. But you were awesome tonight and I loved your character and I love you even though you totally have a beer belly now. And I loved him getting Matt to put Darius and Lucy's sketch on the air. Speaking of which, I love Darius and Lucy.

The hostage thing struck a bit of an off note to me because is that really the kind of thing that would have people stopping in their tracks while at work? I dunno. It may just be me.

Everyone randomly standing around doing spittakes was hilarious, and exactly the kind of thing of which we should see more.

I thought Jordan's interview was pretty awesome. It was nice to see Jack again, apparently I missed him. And I confess my shipper whore heart melted when Jordan went to Danny for refuge. That is kind of thing that will get me every time. And he was trying to make her feel better by quoting Dilbert72! Awwww. Amanda Peet was actually quite good in that scene, maybe she should cry more often, ha ha.

Overall I thought this was one of the funnier episodes and it had some nice character moments. Keep it up, Aaron. Especially with the Christmas episode on deck. (Which reminds me, Matt explained something Jewish to Danny which was something that Danny totally should have known. What was it?)

Saw the last couple seconds of Heroes. When my dad picked me up from the train station on Thursday he asked if I was still watching it, and I said no, I have a lot of friends who love it but I just think it's boring. My dad then proceeded to tell me everything that was currently happening on the show. After I just told him I thought it was boring. He loves to do that sort of thing. (I'll never forget the time he told me the entire plot of the Chris Farley movie Black Sheep.) Ah well, it's rare that he gets so excited about a TV show, so that aspect of it was cute at least.

Wednesday night they light the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center, which means I won't be able to go outside during the day for the rest of the year. Sigh.

Heroes is ridiculously boring. I'm still watching, but only because it's S60's lead-in.

I felt meh about this episode. It may have been the fumes.

Matt explained something Jewish to Danny which was something that Danny totally should have known. What was it?

A mitzvah (sp?), perhaps?

Mitzvah is the Hebrew word that means "a good deed." It refers more specifically to any one of the 613 commandments contained in the Torah (the Five Books of Moses).

Yes, thank you. How would Danny not know that? I mean, I'm sure some people wouldn't, but a cosmopolitan guy whose best friend is Jewish? Come on.

(Oooh, I get to use my Chanukah Josh icon for the first time this season. Whee!)

Prison Break just ended here. I'm willing to bet that she was scratching some kind of a message into the mirror with the razor. And awwwwww, poor Judge Mulready.

Sara was cutting her hair. It is shorter (and darker, I'm guessing she dyed it as well).

Take Care

Oh, I know she cut her hair, I just didn't understand why she kept running the razor over the mirror. Maybe she was leaving a message as [livejournal.com profile] phla suggests. Hmm.

I think Heroes is boring, too. But I have to watch it when my roommate is here on Monday nights because she loves it. Also, my mom kind of does that too, she knows I have no interest in Lost but sometimes she will decide to tell me everything that's going on.

I'm very relieved that there are other people out there who find Heroes boring, because I was starting to think I was the only one.

Yes, that is so my dad. Hee.

Kewl as a Kewpiedoll!

Still not sure if I am happy with... a) "Connie" Murphy Being a Brunette... b) Bob being a Crystal Skull... c) Harry forgoing his staff for a Hockey Stick and d) Long live the Blue Beetle - not the blue hummer!

But that's the realms of TV... as long as they give us at least one "Fuego" I'll live.

I generally stop in my tracks at work for this sort of thing, but maybe that's just me. Or maybe I'm just a slacker who needs any sort of excuse. :thinks Yes, possibly the second.

Had no idea that was what Mitzvah means, so I don't have a problem believing Danny might not know the meaning of it (or that he's heard it a billion times but didn't know the actual, like, working definition).

Also loved Jordan going to Danny and having mini-breakdown, and his face as he tries to convince her all is ok. I wasn't crazy about Jordan for the pilot, but she's grown on me every episode since - I like her a great deal.

Aha! Obviously in honor of the first anniversary of the launch of the New Horizons spacecraft to Pluto.

Depends on the workplace. When you're broadcasting a live show, and the network could decide to break in at any moment with a news update...

(Which reminds me, Matt explained something Jewish to Danny which was something that Danny totally should have known. What was it?)

Definition of the word "mitzvah." But I didn't think Danny was Jewish, is he? We know Matt is.

I have a lot of friends who love it but I just think it's boring.

I so do wish you watched Heroes. A weekly Dia report on that show would be so fine.

Yeah, but I'm not Jewish and I know what it is. Then again, I live in New York so I guess that makes all the difference. ;)

If I did a weekly report on Heroes it would not be one that any fan of the show would appreciate. ;)

Is it just me or is the mass appeal of Rockefeller Center kind of a mystery? I just don't get it. There are so many cooler places in the city, that I just don't see why people feel the need to flock there.

The Art Deco architecture is cool and yet I doubt that's why most people go there. I don't get the whole tree thing. Even when I still thought it was cool I never bothered to go see it until after the new year, because I'm not a masochist, and even when I cared, I didn't care that much. It's, you know, a big tree. Whee.

However, during the summer when the skating rink is closed it becomes a very cool outdoor bar. *g*

That's a very good point regarding the hostage sketch. Even if the hostage situation had ended well, it would not have been appropriate to run the sketch. I don't remember the Amy thing so no issues there for me. :)

Mark McK. skinny...enh. Mark McK. with some extra weight and that haircut? Dreamy.

What I loved about the spittake scene was that the giggles sounded genuine, like both the characters were having a good time and the actors themselves were having a good time.

You so funny.

And agreed re: the spittake scene. Plus it actually showed the actors working on honing their craft, even if it's something as random as a spittake, and the show definitely needs more of that, IMO.
