well this is interesting

My ISP (Earthlink, which sucks more and more lately) is having connectivity issues, probably because it's raining. Interestingly, and this is not the first time this has happened, it will not let me access any website that starts with dianora2.livejournal. Can't read my LJ, or my friends page, or my profile page. But I can access other people's LJs. What. The. Fuck. I can access every other site on the internet. IT DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE OMG. RAGE. The only reason I haven't switched ISPs is because I'm terrified at the prospect of trying to configure my desktop/laptop/TiVo network again. Anything to avoid that. But. WTF. I'm typing this up with Semagic, I hope it posts.
American Idol: Wow, what a sorry bunch that was, eh? Overall a lame group of performances. Not impressed, boys. Not a Hicks or Daughtry in the bunch, not yet. I do love Brandon because I seriously think he's so hot I can't even stand it. I am comfortable admitting it is mostly physical where that boy is concerned. SO HANDSOME. Blake was a revelation, I had no idea he had such a great voice. Really loved his performance and thought it was a great song choice. Chris Sligh I really enjoyed but I think he screwed up by being so nasty to Simon. America doesn't really like it when someone is mean to Simon. And that may have been the first time that Simon was really pissed by what someone said. He was PISSED. Yikes. Phil has a nice voice but he NEEDS HAIR. I guess he's balding, so that's why he's going for the alien look, but...dude, you look like an alien. I cannot imagine that your actual hair will look any worse than what's going on right now. He's not going to go far because people are too distracted by his ears, I'm calling it now.
AJ, Jared, Rudy -- nice, but forgettable. Sundance -- I loved your song choice, but I'm sure I'm in the minority. What is going on with you? Chris Richardson -- I did not like this guy at all and I suspect he will be around a while to torment me. I don't know, I just didn't get his voice. Liked the dancing, but that voice with that song? No. Sanjaya: awful. Paul: PUT ON YOUR DAMN SHOES. Seriously, GROSS. You think it shows you're a free spirit, I think it shows you're unsanitary, and I don't want to vote for unsanitary people. You tell him, Simon. Eww.
Overall, meh, with a few exceptions. Also, I am ALREADY tired of Randy and Paula saying "pitchy." American Heritage Dictionary:
pitch·y
pitch·i·er, pitch·i·est
1. Full of or covered with pitch.
2. Resembling pitch in consistency.
3. Extremely dark; black.
THAT'S IT. SHUT UP. Anyway.
Gilmore Girls was pretty good but I don't have much to say about it. Lauren Graham looked particularly gorgeous, and Kelly Bishop is an acting goddess. That's all I got.
I Love New York broke my heart. Nooooo, Mr. Boston! I am so sad!! It won't be the same without him picking his nose on my TV screen. I never thought he had a chance of winning but I thought they'd keep him around a little longer. Especially after that date they had! Which broke my brain in many different ways, but hey. It was entertaining as HELL. Feeding each other Listerine breath strips OMG. HILARITY. But as soon as he started saying there was no way he was going home and everyone else said Chance was going home, I knew it was over. Chance is totally final two. Oh well. Mr. Boston, we hardly knew ye! Maybe he'll get his own show. That would be awesome. Man, I really hope Tango goes home next week. And what does she see in 12 Pack? I don't get it. But then, it's a good thing that I don't get it, isn't it.
Not much in the way of quotables this week, either.
"This date is definitely a first in a couple of ways. Number one, this is my first date with New York. That's very exciting. And number two, this is my first date with a black woman."
"So they were monster children?"
"Monster children? They should be driving monster trucks!"
"I think there's definitely a chance that I may just take a shot at Chance's balls."
"He reminds me of a seal. He's sad, he's a sad creature." <--- That one was my favorite. A sad seal? LOL.
GH: I just need to say that I am so glad the secret is finally out. FINALLY. Also, Robin and Patrick are love.
Work today was more stressful than it needed to be. I let things get to me way too much and I was SUCH a bitch to my co-workers. I think I need to make some apologies tomorrow. Get it together, Dia! Sheesh.

Date: 2007-02-21 12:25 pm (UTC)It was indeed completely disappointing, all of them. Brandon is SO HOT and Blake was a plesant surprise (my favorite of the night), I agree, and while Chris Sleigh's comment was unecessary, I think it was Ryan, who was already annoyed with Simon for some reason (can't remember when Ryan was getting annoyed), pushed Simon and that kinda built tension between them? Ryan pointedly thanked only Randy and Paula and didn't bother to thank Simon at the end.
This came out longer than planned. I guess I'm emotional.

Date: 2007-02-23 01:55 pm (UTC)Things have gotten weird with Ryan and Simon and I can't tell if it's an act or not. They used to be buds.
