Some minor surprises on the AI elimination show tonight, I thought. So Sanjaya is not only not eliminated, he was the #4 top vote getter. America, you have such a soft spot for a cutie pie, don't you. But one thing America does not have a soft spot for is bare feet. Hey, there's a reason we say no shirt no shoes no service. When Ryan asked Randy what Paul should do in the future, I was like, "Wear shoes!" Ha. Rudy not really a surprise, though.
As for the girls, again, America has a soft spot for a pretty girl -- it's certainly true in this country that you don't have to be talented as long as you're pretty. Guess I have to listen to you for another week, Antonella. That said, it's not like it was surprising that Amy and Nicole got eliminated. Meh. Here's hoping the boys are better next week!
Not much to say about Survivor, except that "Papa Smurf" looks so much like writer Jeffrey Ford that it freaks me out a little.
I forgot to mention this awesome quote from last night's Beauty and the Geek reunion show:
Mario: We were downstairs eating dinner, and she was like, "I'm glad I'm not Indian because I hate Indian food."
Nate: She really said that?
Mario: Yeah. To which I thought, well, you should maybe try some dumb crazy bitch food, 'cause you'd probably really like that.
What is going on with Orlando Bloom? Good grief.
Hilarious Steven Weber blog post about the Oscars. Sort of. "Mirren wears Wellies, a plain cloth coat and carries her pocket book with all the splendor and grace that Queen Elizabeth herself has managed to do so effortlessly for decades. She also has an encounter with a large deer." Heeee.
I get to work for 11 hours tomorrow. Oh, joy.

Date: 2007-02-23 05:17 am (UTC)As for Beauty and the Geek you really didn't miss much. Just that Mario went back home and married a long-time friend who he realized was "the one" thanks to the show. And the Nate/Jennylee reunion which seemed to go well. Not that I expect it to last. Nate looked really good, though. Better than he did on the show.

Date: 2007-02-23 11:19 am (UTC)The bit about snagging the "bit of beefcake" had me in stitches!
But I think I may be able to top his number of viewings of "Cars". My youngest is addicted to it.
