Okay, AI watchers: was that or was that not BJ of TAR's BJ&Tyler hanging out with Sanjaya's friend and sister? W.T.F?
I basically thought Blake was awesome and everyone else was meh. I thought Melinda was better than the judges did. I thought LaKisha was worse than the judges did. If I were Haley I'd be wearing short shorts every week too. Sanjaya -- Randy's right, he is one of the smartest contestants ever. Oh, man. Well, we'll see. Whatever. I think it will be Haley or Phil going home.
. Well, that was a little more like it. I liked the presidential fakeout and Wayne being all "Just give me more adrenaline!" And Wayne being all torture-iffic and Karen secretly loving it. But the best part was Ricky Schroeder taking in all the guys Jack killed and being all, "Wow." YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT. Although Jack was a bad bad boy for killing Fayed like that. He just as easily could have kept him strung up and taken him into custody. Interesting. And I think I'm in the minority but I'm kind of into the whole Audrey thing. Maybe I'm just jonesing for some romantically angsty Jack. Plus, this means no Jack/Marilyn, which is a good thing. (Will we ever find out that kid is Jack's son, or what?) I thought it would have been more interesting if the terrorists from that day had had Audrey, though, rather than the Chinese. Oh well. The other main problem with this season I think is not enough Chloe. Too much Milo and Nadia and Morris, not enough Chloe. When will these people learn?
So the chick who played Pixley on Sports Night is going to be Sonny's new love interest on GH. This makes my head hurt.
Preview of the new David Duchonvy series on Showtime. Not safe for work.
Menu Foods CFO dumped his stock less than three weeks before the recall was announced. He, of course, claims it was a coincidence. Hrm. That link is also a good resource for the latest recalls, which now include some prescription dog food.
This Go Fug Yourself entry is well worth reading for viewers of The Hills -- it's an awesome takedown of the douchebaggery that is Spencer.
I saw on VH1 that there's going to be a new show that is a behind the scenes look at how The Jerry Springer Show is put together, concentrating on the recruiters/bookers. That is such a genius idea I can't even stand it. I can't wait to watch. (Speaking of Springer, I am so amused that Steve the bodyguard is getting his own show. Heeee.)
Had a great time yesterday going to a taping of The Colbert Report with
leftofcenternyc,
bexatious,
lora_elisabeth,
intopolitics and
oeilade. Second row seats! Not that that means all that much as the studio is quite tiny. :) Colbert is very entertaining and the crowd was really pumped. In fact, in watching the show back I think we ran long largely due to all the laughing and screaming, since he mentioned a segment at the beginning that they never even got to. It was his first night pimping AmeriCone Dreams and he was eating it nonstop for the whole taping, even in between takes. He must have put away nearly a pint throughout the course of the evening. Anyway, it was mucho fun -- not least because of the lovely company I was keeping -- and I'm grateful I had the chance to go. (That flavor is damn good, by the way. If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend it.)
Happy Belated Birthday to
krazykitkat! I'm glad you had a good day.

Date: 2007-04-11 04:00 am (UTC)Well, I want Carly with Jax, so I guess a new love interest for Sonny isn't so bad.

Date: 2007-04-11 04:04 am (UTC)At least the actress shouldn't suck -- not that I'll really know, since I fast forward all Sonny scenes, ha ha.

Date: 2007-04-11 04:34 am (UTC)Sounds like Colbert was hilarious. I shall have to watch it soon (went to sleep before it aired).

Agreed. I actually think I am more pissed about the return of the Chinese, than the return of Audrey. I do prefer her to Marilyn. I wonder if I we'll even see Marilyn and the kid again?
le sigh.

Date: 2007-04-11 04:46 am (UTC)Me, too.
I'm glad you saw a taping of Colbert; it's got to be a lot of fun. And I still haven't found Americone Dream! I think God is mocking me. Or my area of New Jersey which, frankly, has been mocked enough by God already.
