I thought that was a decent episode up until the last 15 minutes or so, which were superb. From Suzanne's confrontation of Matt on was just excellent. Too bad we had to suffer through all the supremely unfunny sketches (although at least this time they were SUPPOSED to be not very good) and the annoyingly meta ratings talk to get there. But the Matt/Suzanne scene, Danny ripping apart Matt's office looking for pills, and the stuff with Tom, OH, TOM, were great stuff. Nate Corddry fucking owned that ending and got me all teary-eyed. Although I thought Jordan's "That man is holding an ax" was really chilling, too. (Also, the scene where Jordan yelled at Danny was the best Amanda Peet has ever been on this show. Maybe they just needed to make Jordan an angry bitch, that might have worked.) Danny trying to listen to the baby's heartbeat was cute and hot. There was not enough Jack, although it was fun to see him interacting with Matt, which he doesn't do very often. Lucy Davis was adorable. And did I mention Nate Corddry is awesome? Because he totally is.

So it's official that the next season of Battlestar Galactica will be the last. I know that intellectually I should probably see this as a good thing, but I'm woman enough to admit that it also makes me sad. The way things are going, with GG and S60 gone and BSG ending and possibly Prison Break too, I'm not going to have anything to watch two seasons from now, I swear. ME. Not having anything to watch. Scary thought, people! I also think it's odd they're ending it so close to the magic syndication number, but what the hell do I know. And it pisses me off that they keep referring to next season as being 22 episodes, it's 20 episodes with a frickin' Pegasus movie. Oy. Which, by the way, is now airing in November, not September. Goddammit. I am cranky and woeful right now. Oh well.

In other universe sucking news, The Bush administration said Tuesday it will fight to keep meatpackers from testing all their animals for mad cow disease. Keep on fighting the good fight, boys!

Wish me luck at what is sure to be a fruitless trip to the doctor tomorrow, would you? :(

Nate was amazing and acted the hell out of that episode. He deserves an emmy nod for that. And he needs to get another show. I want more of him on my tv.

The actress that plays Suzanne was equally as amazing. I loved her quiet portrayal. She said so much in just her posture and looks at Matt.

And I agree with your comments about Jordan and Danny. I also liked Jordan's slip up to Mary, "We're having a little girl."

I hope a new show comes along otherwise, I'm going to have nothing either.

Word. Suzanne has been my favorite character on the show from the very first episode, to be honest, and this week was a sharp remind of why.

Yes because the "If we don't notice it, it might go away" theory is SUCH a good one!

It makes me sad how much I've enjoyed these last two episodes. This was such a great show - and an ensemble show at that. Suzanne was wonderful in how she confronted Matt, and the stuff with Tom's brother was heartbreaking. Nate Corddry was so incredible, and I loved how Danny was trying to protect Jordan from what was on the screen.

I have mixed feelings about BSG ending - It makes me sad too, but I like that it's going to end on a high note. However, all my shows are on the way out. This really disappoints me. I finally finish grad school and have time in the evenings again and I will have nothing to watch! Clearly, my life is hard.

The buildup of the last few minutes was excellent and I hope they're doing something with this next week. I can't help it, I like Sorkin better when he's writing about politics.

The first half did have the two seconds of Jack and Mensa lady (Mary, was it?) in the same room together, which was totally enough for me to hate the idea of her with Matt, because HOT!

I thought the last part of S60 was great too. TOM, omg. I hope Nate Corddry gets another series or a great movie or something. Same goes for Bradley Whitford of course. :)

Though I can already feel how much I'll miss BSG (and PILOTS!!!), I know it's the right move to end the show after next season. I'd just get too bitter if the show went on too long and had too many lame episodes and storylines. So this should be a good run, and I can't wait to see them BRING IT in the final episodes.

Can we just make them eat all that meat? wow that sounds way dirtier than i meant it to

S60 made me all sniffly and sad. With SG1 going off the air, BSG ending, no S60, and the state of CSI lead actors' contracts, I too am rapidly running out of shows to watch.

Why must new tv suck so much?
