boring update

Went to the doctor today; he said that one ear had some wax, but it was the ear that's been bothering me much less, so then he looked at the really bad one and said it wasn't blocked, but that it didn't look right, either. So he prescribed some Zithromax and Allegra-D and told me I could keep taking the Mucinex too and was confident I would be fine. Said it might be a recurrence from the sinus infection I had a little while back. We'll see. I have three days to feel enormously better. Keeping my fingers crossed. Many thanks to everyone for their advice on remedies.

Then I had dinner with suricattus, which wasn't really supposed to be dinner, just drinks, but I was really hungry, and they had a special that was steak with bacon & blue cheese, mashed potatoes, and garlic creamed spinach. Um, yes please. It was a cheapie place so it wasn't spectacular, but still quite yummy.

Barbie.com updated with a bunch of dolls and some of them are spectacular. I am really digging the Queen of Hearts one. While ordinarily a bit of a purist, I have to say I applaud the aesthetic choice to make the Queen of Hearts hot. The Cher one is a bit of a head-scratcher (do we really need to re-live that video?), but they make up for everything with the Reem Acra bride, which is probably one of the most gorgeous Barbies ever created. GUH. And only $180! ;P

Okay, looong day tomorrow, filled with some fun; some work; and hopefully some fun that is also work. Any way you look at it it's going to be exhausting, so I'm off to bed.

Zithromax works really fast. If you got the Z pack five day course with the double dose on the first day you should be fine in a couple days.

Thats what they gave me before I flew to Vegas and it worked really well for me.

Plus my kids have had it so much when little, it was the only thing that really worked on the ears, I should have bought stock in the maker.

The Z-pak is good shit, and it works pretty quickly. I hope you feel lots better in time for your trip! I flew back from the UK via Philly (i.e. two take-offs, two landings) in 2001 with a RAGING sinus infection and it was hell.

That sucks about your ear. I really hope this new medicine knocks out the problem before you have to get on the plane. Long plane rides suck enough without that kind of crap added to it. And I hope you don't have to do any in-flight repairs like we did, but if you do, remember the first-aid kit, it's not just for medical problems anymore.
