HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA I am such a loser.

God, I have so much to say about this weekend, and even just the little story about this picture will take a few minutes to write up, since it also involves mocking Aaron Douglas to his face.

We're in the room about to take our pictures with Jamie and Aaron Douglas is hanging out in there too b/c some people were getting pictures with both of them. Now, we had noticed that at the panel earlier that Aaron was barefoot, which

em_meredith and I found unacceptable, and he was barefoot in the photo room, too. So as we're waiting for Jamie,

em_meredith says to Aaron, "Do you have something against shoes?" And I say, "Yeah, that is really unsanitary." And he gets that great aggrieved Aaron look and comes over to us and is like "What??" and I continue, "I mean, have you SEEN some of the people around here?" and Aaron says "I....bathe," and Em and I are like, "It's not YOU we're worried about!" And I love Aaron Douglas so much because I can totally be like that with him, unlike Jamie who I also love but who reduces me to a gibbering idiot.

So I think Em continued to mock him but then it was my turn with the photo, so I go up to Jamie and say hi and he puts his arm around me for the photo [and it's sad that I can never truly remember the feel of that later] and I had of course been thinking long and hard about this, so I said, "Can we do something really cheesy?" and he said "Sure!" and so I said, "Let's do our arms like this" [see photo] and he laughed and said all right and so we did the picture and then when it was done he looked at me with this proud grin on his face and said, "We cheesed it up!" HE IS SO ADORKABLE OMG. So I thanked him and we made eye contact and he smiled and really, eye contact with Jamie Bamber should be sold by the military as a lethal weapon, it is the most unbelievable thing. His eyes are so much bluer than the lighting on BSG would have you believe.

Then Em took her picture and the photographer had trouble with the camera during her shot. The lucky bitch got to stand there for something like 6 photos with her arm around him. She even tried to leave a couple of times and Jamie was all, "No, you can't leave yet!" *sigh*

So when we got the pictures later that night I was so thrilled with how mine turned out, and Em and

kiss_me_cassie were like, "You HAVE to get this autographed." And I didn't really want to spend the money but they were egging me on and I thought about getting him to write the arms thing and figured what the hell. So the next day I got on line at his table, and when I got to his handler I told him I wanted an autograph and gave him the photo, and the handler grinned and said "I remember this one! It came out great." And so then he handed it to Jamie and when Jamie realized what picture it was he broke out into a wide grin and nodded and was like "All right!" and I said, "Our cheesy picture came out really good!" and he said "It really did!" I asked, "Can I get you to write something cheesy on it as well?" and then told him the but look at my arms thing. So he laughed and said okay and wrote it, and I told him that I thought Lee should use that line as an excuse every time he made a mistake, and he laughed (probably whilst reflecting on what a loon I am). And then he started to hand the photo back to me, but then he pulled it back toward him and looked at it again and said, "It really did turn out great!" Hee. He totally loved our picture! He really did, I am not being delusional. It was very cool.

I wish I had said more, but see above re: gibbering idiot. Sigh. I don't care because I have the GREATEST PICTURE EVER. *dances* My favorite part is how you can see on his face that he was genuinely amused (most of the other pictures I saw had a much more generic posed expression in comparison). My other favorite part is how he used an ellipsis. Em laughed very hard at me when I said that, but that's okay. Because I have the GREATEST PICTURE EVER.

Needless to say, I had a super fun weekend with

em_meredith and

kiss_me_cassie and ~~stalking~~ seeing Jamie and Aaron and Em's BFF Mark Sheppard and everyone else. Way, way too much fun, and now I'm coming down off the Jamie high and it's quite a crash. I'll post a full report, probably a non-BSG one and a BSG one separately. Because while there was Jamie, there was also Gil Gerard and James Marsters and Byers and Frohike and a host of others. I also have to wait for Em to upload her photos because she had a telephoto lens and got some truly amazing shots, many of Jamie stretching, ahem. We had *really* good seats for this panel, as you can tell by the fact that I got shots even this good with my extremely crappy camera. T-shirts all three days, my friends. It was an arm-filled weekend.

More soon! I cannot even believe I have work tomorrow. Sigh.
