So I was watching All My Children today and who was on it but NiCole Robinson!!!! (That's Margaret from The West Wing, for those of you not geeky enough to know this sort of thing.) CRAZY! She was playing a book editor, participating in one of the most ludicrous representations of the publishing process that I have ever been amused enough to witness. She looked super chic, with short hair and a tailored suit, and it was odd to see her in a role that did not contain Margaret's mannerisms. Guess she's living in NYC now. Good for her.
Speaking of soaps, for a dose of hilarity, check out the new ABC Daytime CD, Love Affair. Oh, Tony Geary. Really?
twinparadox is in town and staying with me for the rest of the week (yay!), so tonight we ate too much at dinner and then watched the pop up video version of the Lost finale. Unfortunately the rich meal combined with the scrolling pop up was not so good for my tummy. I couldn't decide whether the pop up video aspect was hilarious, interesting, or overly distracting. I think all three. And some of those Star Wars connections they were trying to make were really, really labored. Give me a break. Some of the insider stuff was cool, though. So excited for tomorrow night.
I'm pretty sad about John Edwards dropping out of the race. I thought he brought an important progressive voice to the table, and I'm extremely grateful to him for driving and shaping the debate on a number of issues, particularly health care. Thank you, John. I feel better knowing that you'll continue to do good for this country in whatever way that you can.
This is one of the more clever things I've seen in a while: Alain Ducasse's new restaurant has purse perches attached to the chairs. Awesome.
I had a feeling it was going to happen when I saw the pictures
nnaylime posted in her LJ, and I was right: Katee Sackhoff got Fugged. Psst, Katee, you can get a fabric steamer pretty cheap.
Why do the shoes at H&M always look like they came from somebody's garage sale? These are the questions that occupy my day.

Date: 2008-01-31 05:16 am (UTC)I'm watching the pop up thing now and it's kind of funny, but really distracting. I'm glad I just rewatched this ep this weekend in preparation.
