I confess to being surprised in a way, but also not at the same time. Basically I think he did the same exact thing he did last season, which was pick the "good" girl instead of picking the girl he actually wanted. You like them with big fake tits and no brains, Bret. Just admit it. Embrace it! It's not like you have any dignity left to lose. Anyway, I'm happy for Ambre because I liked her best so at least she'll get the prize money or whatever. Also, greatest line ever: "OK, Daisy's hot. But surgery can make me hotter. Surgery's not going to make her smarter." Ha ha ha. Also, every time Bret goes on about how hot Daisy is, I'm like, really? This is why I am me and not Bret Michaels. Of course, I also felt like every time Bret said Ambre was hot, it sounded like he was trying to convince himself of it. I'm still just kind of amazed he picked someone so close to his own age. (And Daisy, going on and on about how ancient Ambre is at 37, when you're 25? Oh, just wait, sweetie. 37 will arrive before you KNOW IT.)

Anyway, great season, CANNOT WAIT for the reunion, and then I will be very sad it's over. And Celebra Dabra or whatever the heck it's called doesn't look like it's going to grab me.

Desperate Housewives was funny tonight, and spawned my subject line. Glad that show is back. And I think Gossip Girl comes back this week too, doesn't it? Yay!

Anyone watching Celebrity Fit Club? I am so not surprised that Dustin Diamond continues to be a big douche.

Last night [livejournal.com profile] divanoir and I went to see Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, mainly because there's nothing else out and I knew people on my f-list had recommended it. It was indeed delightful, and I pass on the recommendation as well. Just a fun, enjoyable film. [livejournal.com profile] eloiseinparis had remarked that she never found Lee Pace hot on Pushing Daisies, but did in this movie, and I was skeptical, until Lee Pace had been on screen for approximately five seconds and OMG. Like watching a different person, I swear. He needs to be scruffy at all times, and preferably with a working-class British accent. Rowr.

My mom sent me the creepiest website today: FelonSpy. You type your address into the box and it shows you a map of all the convicted criminals who live near you. =:-0 The ACLUer in me has serious privacy issues with this, while the other part of me is just freaking out that I live a block away from someone who's been convicted of burglary. I felt a little better when I did my parents' address, who live in what they think is suburban paradise, and they're a couple blocks away from someone convicted of attempted murder. Ha ha ha. And then I thought about it a little more and I didn't feel so great about that. Eeeeep.

Probably everyone on my f-list who'd be interested in this has seen it already, but just in case: Catherine Tate is as much of a Sorkin fan as David Tennant. Click on "The Big Questions 2" to hear Tennant accuse Tate of wanting to be Bradley Whitford's girlfriend. Join the club, chica.

Chris Matthews thinks Obama is weird for wanting orange juice instead of coffee. I think Chris Matthews is weird because he's an asshat.

There's apparently an epidemic of straight women having crushes on Jackie Warner from Work Out. Silly straight women, don't you know your crush is supposed to be on Gillian Anderson? HELLO.

Speaking of Gillian, Fox is releasing a special set of XF DVDs with episodes that supposedly specifically relate to the upcoming movie. My fellow Philes need to go look at those links and tell me what the heck the theme is, there, besides shippiness. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] proggrrl for the heads-up.

So apparently a family in Massachusetts is trying to exonerate one of their ancestors of being hanged for witchcraft in the 17th century....and they're getting shit for it. WTF? I hate people so much, you guys. Sigh.

I thought nine year olds getting highlights was bad -- how about eight year olds getting bikini waxes? I'm going to go kill myself now.

Two BSG links from around the f-list:

[livejournal.com profile] alissabobissa writes a cute Billy&Kara ficlet.

[livejournal.com profile] dionusia is hilarious again with her Secret Cylon Meeting Minutes. (Spoilers through the last ep.)

I've seen some nice icons too and am very nervous about my own. Maybe I'll just make a few funny ones and call it a day, I dunno.

And [livejournal.com profile] corellianjedi has now joined [livejournal.com profile] girlunravelled as having mainlined the series over the past couple weeks and now being caught up for this Friday. I'm so excited and proud! Yay. I spent way too much time this weekend reading everybody's commentary. I need to take a step back.

How is it Monday already? It's a short week in a way since NY Comic Con starts Friday...but then I'll be working all weekend without pay, so, not so much. Oh well, at least there will be shopping. And Tahmoh. And [livejournal.com profile] chanel19 visiting. Must focus on the positive. Whimper.
